Simon and Garfunkle reunion tour 2004

with special guests : The Everly Brothers !!!

They are in upstate NY in June. I heard this on TV the other night and thought I might like to go.

Talked it over with my husband and came to the conclusion we would skip it.

It is over 2 hours away. On a week night. He would have to take a day off. We would have to gt a hotel room. Who needs concerts at our age?

Well, I went to bed last night and all I could think of was how much I wanted to go. Two of my very favorite CDs: S & G reunion in Central Park, and the Everly Borthers reunion at the London Palladium.

Woke up the morning, went online and got tickets. I am sooooooo excited :thewave:

Anyone else going to see them on this tour?

I specifically got tickets up high so I won't be too close to them. I don't want to be looking at them and saying " holy cow, look how old they are!"

Cause the next thought would have to be " If they look that old, how must I look?"

I went to see them right before Christmas at the Fleet Center in Boston. The concert was fabulous. Simon and Garfunkel have been my favorites since I was in high school. YIKES... that was 37 years ago

The Everly Brothers were super too.. I think they sang 3 or 4 songs.

We saw this show last fall in Chicago. It was outstanding.

We saw them when they came to Oakland & loved the show. The Everly Brothers were a surprise for us. DH & I took my sister who is 11 years older than we are - EB were one of her favorites. S & G are favs of DH & I. The tix weren't cheap - but we were so glad we went!

Wow I love Simon & Garfunkle.............love their music.... Sounds of Silence was a big favourite of mine when I was a teenager.......
