Airmiles Armchair Chatter

I decided to go back out for groceries after dinner. Not my usual time, or day, but figured my next opportunity would be on Wednesday so tonight seemed the better option. I had hoped that I could skip shopping this week. It’s always the veggies that we run out of. Hopefully I got enough to make the next 10 days. Well, not a single thing I purchased is on the AM list but I bet there will be several things when it rolls over on Thursday.

Questions on redemption of AM for Air Canada vouchers.

Can you use one 1 e- voucher and pay the balance with a credit card.

I do see you can use maximum of 2 vouchers but that must cover the total fare. None of my flights would be in the $500 ( maximum of e vouchers appear to be $250) range but getting a $250 reduction in a fare would be nice!

Great Christmas News

Well bless my youngest son.
Who doesn't need a healthy Ama zon Gift Card all for herself?

AND I am getting a new daughter in law!!!!!
They got engaged on Christmas day. The engagement ring is a gorgeous white gold with a very pretty diamond with two Celtic nots on the band.
She has Irish background and teaches Irish dance part time and has won many competitions. She also makes delicious shortbread cookies,, just like my Nana. She is also an architectural designer ,,, I am so happy for them and she makes a wonderful addition to our family.

It’s a limit of two forms of payment. So yes, you can use one voucher and pay the balance with a credit card.

After booking your ticket you can go back later with another voucher or gift card to pay for seat assignment or bags. You have to call in for that though as the online system will still see your previous two forms of payment.

Is there no way to
Today is the last day so save all your Air Miles transactions for 2025 if you wish to keep a record.
Or take a screen capture of the results.
This year I managed to collect 6054 miles.
Let's see what next year holds.
Is there any way to download the transactions into a pdf? I'd never be able to read a screenshot.

I went to my transactions and highlighted the whole year then right clicked, selected print and changed from my printer to save to pdf. When you click save it let's you pick where you want to save to. My file is about 15 pages long

My airmiles won't change when I choose "since January" or "last 12 months". I've tried on two different browsers and mobile as well as my laptop. Not sure why. I know I made Onyx already so I guess it's not a big deal yet. But it's annoying.

Using Chrome on my Windows Surface running Windows 11:
  1. Toggle my transactions to "since January 1,2025"
  2. Click the 3 dots at the top right of the screen
  3. Select Print
  4. Change Destination to "Save as PDF"
  5. Save it to my Desktop as "2024 Airmiles" (I'll never find it otherwise :P )
  6. Sigh after comparing to 2024, weep when comparing to 2023 when Metro and AMEX were still part of the program!
Total earned : 9479
Total used : 812
Total left to chase down : 1000 -ish

Well, our lives have been a sort of a dystopian hellscape this year and Airmiles have been close to the bottom of the "must do" list. Chasing them down isn't possible thru chat anymore and talking on the phone just requires more mental energy than I have access to most days :(
Most of them come from promos that involved multiple transactions - example the StB in the middle of the year that overlapped with some kind of online thing and they didn't all post properly and I can't put in a claim for more than one single posting at a time. Also doesn't seem to be a way to claim those bonuses using their "super simple" online forms. I KNOW it will take a lot of emailing and that's just a time suck for me at the moment.

Thanks for the copy/paste method. I should have thought of that!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!
