I am not one to care about hair products but I couldn't believe the difference in my son's hair on our cruise last week. He usually gets a lot of build up and his hair is frankly gross... but on the ship his hair was soft and beautiful. Has anyone found a product that is readily available and reasonably priced that is similar to the H20+ stuff?

Since you like the H2O shampoo just check the ingredient list and buy a less expensive line with the same ingredients. This works for most any chemical composition whether laundry detergent or personal toiletries.
Now your son’s hair won’t be gross.

So the big thing with build up is usually a lot of silicone type ingredients in them. Most cheaper shampoos/conditioners have them because it makes it feel soft and they're cheap to use. Basically a temporary feeling to get you to buy the product. If you look into salon quality shampoos most will have the same affect.

Adding some baking soda to your shampoo helps to remove buildup, as well as a hard water softener for your shower head.
