Silly Question

I just have a silly question.....



We are going in October for our wedding/honeymoon and were going to purchase ears for our trip. We really don't care for the actual wedding ears and were wanting to get the regular ears and just put "Bride and Groom" or something else on them.

Our question is: Will we miss special treatment if we don't get the wedding ears?

I don't think so. It might not be as obvious but if you still want people to know that you're celebrating get the Just Married pins and wear those as well. DF and I wore the just engaged pins when we were there and everyone noticed and at least congratulated us. HTH.

Our friends got us the wedding ears the night before our wedding for our dessert party. We wore them during the dessert party for photos but for the rest of our honeymoon we sometimes wore the "Just Married" or "Happily Ever After" buttons but sometimes just mentioned to our waiters/waitresses that we were married in Disney and on our honeymoon and got tons of special treatment (free desserts, room upgrade for our honeymoon!)

I think servers are aware of the buttons but you can also put celebrations on reservations. We did it at Boma and got a card signed by what seems like must be the entire staff.

That said, we went in with low expectations for any special treatment so even other guests saying "Congratulations" was pretty exciting. if you have low expectations, any pixie dust that blows your way is going to be pretty special

Besides, you'll be in the happiest place on earth...who really needs any special treatment

We only wore our "just married" pins too. Got a few congrats but we didn't honeymoon in WDW, we left 2 days after the wedding for home so we could go on our cruise. We really didn't get the chance to go to the parks or restuarants.
