Any idea if free dining will be offered for August 2010? I know that there is no definite answer but I figured you experts would know based on history. I keep getting pin codes for this year but we can't go but are planning a big trip (my DS' first to Disney, he'll be 2) and want to stay at the Poly. I've priced it out on Disney's website with this years prices and it is very expensive. Do you think they will continue to send pin codes for next year?

This is a more of a wondering kind of thread.

Some UK DISers have reported that they are already able to book free dining for 2010. That's a reasonable indication that it will be offered next year - it seems to be working well for Disney - but of course, I can't guarantee that.

One thought for you, though - if it is just you, your DH, and your DS2, the dining plan would save you about $80 per day (your DS2 is not eligible for free dining). If you want to stay at the Poly (which I highly recommend ), you'd do better with a 40% off pin or another discount code. You have to pay rack rate for the room if you get free dining. It might be more cost effective to pay for dining if you can get a discount package that brings the room cost down by 25% or more.

Some people have gotten 4/3 pins for later in the fall. If the economy continues to struggle, you can expect additional discounts next year.

If it is just you, DH and DS2, I'd go when schools are in session, unless you or your DH can't take off during the school year. No need to go during hot, crowded sumemr vacation unless you have to!

If I could get a pin code of some sort, I would definitely rather take that and go in October. Still hot but less people. I do appreciate the advice. Something is better than nothing.
