It's silly because it's probably been asked lots of time before and silly because there is probably a really simple explanation and I'm just being an idiot (but it is Monday and I've had a big weekend so be nice lol)

Right so my question is about character dining buffets it always has a price range - for example Tusker's House has a range of $35 to $59.99 for Lunch and Dinner- so when do they charge the lower and when do they charge the higher.

Is this based on season, demand of just if they like the look of you (which will probably go against me :crazy2:)

None of the above. It is the set price range for ALL Disney buffet or all-you-care-to-eat meals. I don't know which meal is $59.99, and there may not even be one, but Disney uses that range just to keep things easier on their side and make it much more difficult for the consumer to figure out a budget.

This is often confused. The range is not based on the restaurant. The price range is the measuring stick, and the restaurant falls into that group. You've probably seen restaurants categorized as $, $$, $$$, or $$$$. Many of the buffets fall into the $$$ category, which is where the price range comes from.

See I knew there would be a very obvious simple answer - never though about it before which is strange as I've been so many times.

I think I always though it was seasonal and as I wanted to go to the restaurant anyway didn't really factor. Although when the other restaurant have their menus and pricing on the app - you think Disney could just put the price and update it when needed.

Thanks everyone for the info,:thanks: and only thinking about it this year as we're going with the In-Laws, and they might not see the added benefits that we do from Character buffets. As yes sometimes the food might not be great for the price you pay, but having our DS being able to interact with so many characters at one time is worth it.

Luckily they are only coming for a week out of our two week stay, so I'll just book a character brekkie in the first week with them, and book the others the following week :thumbsup2
