I hope someone can help me out...I got silhouettes of my girls on our trip in June, but decided not to get the frames. I wanted to frame them together, but now I am shocked at how much it will cost to have this done.

Is there a way to order the frames now? Can someone verify that the price is $10 per frame?

Also, can someone tell me what the back of the frame looks like? The reason I ask is that I want to put the date somewhere so that years from now, it will be easy to tell when they were done.

THANKS!

I purchased frames at the park, but only one set. I did not realize it would be so difficult to find oval frames for the extra set that you get with your purchase. I thought for sure I had seen them at numerous stores, but have yet to find any (other than $40 frames online)!! If anyone has any good ideas about this, please share!

I think I remember reading that the silhouettes and frames pricing is being raised????

What about buying oval mats and putting them in frames yourself? You can buy mats at craft stores like AC Moore and Michaels. Sometimes there are oval mats at Target, too.

(edited to add--I'm referencing the second poster, not the first!)

I cannot remember what the frame cost and don't know if you can order them now but I can tell you that there really is no back to the frame.
I know that sounds weird and I was surprised too when I took it out of the box when I got home.
The frame consists of the oval part you see in the front. The design has Mickey heads, which I did not notice before.
Then there is a rectangular piece of glass, the silhouette and then a piece of cardboard.
Holding the cardboard to the frame are 4 little fasteners that "swing". I don't know how else to explain that!
Then there is a piece at the top so you can hang it and a piece so it can sit up by itself!
I put the other copy in a regular black frame and although it doesn't look as good, it doesn't look to bad either!
Hope I have made sense!

I bought the frames last September and they were just $9 - As for the back of the frame, you can totally write the date on it. The girl that did our silouettes last year actually put the mirror image of the silouette on the back, so you actually get two silouettes when you get them done. Totally worth it!

The only thing I don't understand is that if the frame is oval, how is there a rectangular piece of glass? I totally get the cardboard and fasteners that swing - that's very common in picture frames. Is there any chance you could take a picture of the front and back and post?

Thanks!

We did our kids in Nov of 2005, and I think I recall the frames being $9 then as well. Not sure if they can be shipped, but it never hurts to call and ask. When we went to do our kids (3 kids), I was only going to get the 2 older boys done cause I didnt think they could fit 3 onto 1 picture. The CM was able to do it, so I have all 3 of my babies on 1 frame, and it is the best thing I ever got!!

sorry to hi-jack the thread, but does anyone know exactly how much it costs to get the silhouettes and how many copies you get? I am thinking about doing this for my sons first trip in October.

Also, how much do the actual silouettes cost and where do you get them done? I thought I read somewhere that it was on Main Street but I can't remember where.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and just had them done. They cost 9.00 for each face in the picture.

My older daughters each got a silhouette of themselves and a fav character. One had themselves done with Jack Skellington and the other chose Stitch. The frames are about 10 each (they seemed to have gone up in price a little bit since I last had them done. So for each of them it worked out to be roughly $30. For our little one we had her done just by herself, for $9 and bought a frame for $10.

The shop is on the right about midway down Main St as you are heading towards the castle.

I'd post pics if I knew how.

I called DeliverEars (or what ever it's called) at 800-362-4566 and was able to order the frames for $10.95 each plus a $7 shipping fee. No tax :). Just FYI, there is a minimum order of $15.

Does anyone know if they can actually cut a silhouette from a picture? I regret not having the kids done the first 2 trips and might want to have them next time we are there.

Did they go up? I got 5 in May..the grandkids, and I thought they were $7.00 ?? You get 2 of each one, btw. I still don't have them framed..the oval mats I found are too small. I think I can just get 5x7 frames though, and that will work.

mott, I was about to tell you that I will try to take a picture and post it but I am not that computer savvy so I cannot promise anything when I saw your most recent post!
You will understand perfectly once you get your frames and I think you will be very happy with them.
I wasn't going to get the frames but was so happy when I really looked at them when I got home!

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know if I can call somewhere to get frames? I tried the number above and that is not right. I tried to buy them when I was in the parks last week but they were sold out. Does WDW sell them too? Can I call there? Thanks so much!

If you have any souvenir receipts from your trip, there should be a number you can call and they can help you figure out who to call.

Don't mention it... :)

I knew I had an additional number too, just remembered I had it in my phone. lol
It is for the same department, same hours etc.

Glad you bumped this up, I need to purchase 2 as well since they were sold out on the 23rd when we went!

As long as it is a profile view they can cut one from a picture. I had one done of my dog, and it turned out really cute.
