I know I've seen this in a previous post but can't locate it now. DD and I will be going in May instead of an autograph book this time we'd like to have the characters sign a t shirt instead. It will ultimatly be incorporated into a quilt made from t shirts that her father had. He passed away this past Thanksgiving and unfortunatly there were very few keepsakes for her but they shared a love of all things Disney and I was able to get the shirts.Anyway I want to be sure I have the correct pens and any hints would be great. Thanks::yes::

buy a multi colored set of sharpie markers..they work great!!! Be prepared to hold the shirt stretched tightly for the characters...they love being creative...some of the best autograph getting we have ever done

Nice idea!!! We used an embrodiery hoop to make it tight. After a few characters have signed it, just move it and it is ready to go. We also used the sharpie markers. We have our Tshirt hanging in our daughters room. Have a great time!

We had shirts signed on our last trip also. We bought a pack of Laundry markers @ WalMart ~ they worked great. I think there were 4 colors.

As Pixie said, you will have to hold the shirt tightly ~ if you have something for them to sign on that will help too...They mostly used my DS's back.

We brought our shirt home and had it framed and hung in his bedroom.

Next trip I want to take a big photo mat and have it autographed and get a picture of all of us to put in it.

I'm a Girl Scout leader and we do stuff like this all the time. The sharpie markers work great, but if you're going to wash it, the sharpies fade over time. Permanent fabric markers (which can be found at Walmart, Michael's, etc.) work great and last longer.

JMHO,

When my DD was 9 I did this. I attached the T shirt to a stiff piece of cardboard (about 8x11") with the paper clamps you can buy at Staples (or any office supply store). When the area was filled up just rearrange it, smooth it out & reclamp & you're set to go. We carried backpacks that year so everything went in the backpack when not in use. I purchased a variety of fabric markers that year. The T shirt was extra big & my DD still wears it to bed (she's 13 now).

Have fun!

And I must say ... THE BEST souvenir of all is that Autographed T-Shirt!!! We bought a Beautiful T-Shirt at our Disney Store, it said Dreaming Is Believing on the front with a menagerie of characters in front of the castle and the characters all signed the shirt in multi colored sharpies! The speaking characters (Aladdin, Jasmine, Alice, Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, etc) all asked if they could sign near their picture :) our girls happily obliged!!! They have not wanted to remove the shirts since we came home!!! LOL They are taking them with them again in June to get more autographs, since they missed some characters. We did use a clipboard last time, but this time I will definitely take an embroidery hoop. The girls also decided that this time they will take a hat with them because their shirts are almost 'filled up'. It is the definitely a conversation starter! The kids at school kept READING the girls and we just LOL'd when they kept pulling them back saying "Wait, I'm not done reading you yet!" LOL
