Don't know if this was posted before but I just noticed it at the Marketplace bus stop yesterday. Wonder if this is in response to the complaints about people using the SSR buses. Then again maybe I just never noticed it on previous trips.

Don't know if I agree that the sign was put in response to the complaints. This move would just generate more complaints - just not from DVC members - Port Orleans guests.

Of course the PO guests will now complain..........then they'll change it to another resort and they'll complain too. Until these non Disney resort guests start doing the right thing then complaints will always flow.

Why don't they just say, hop any bus to any resort and then take a theme park bus from the resort. Plus, drop your bus use fee ($5) in the box below.

Just had an idea. Maybe this is for those guests who are expecting a boat to take them to POR and POFQ which doesn't start running until about 12 noon.

Do the buses even run that early from Marketplace. I did not think DTD started as early as 7am?

They pick up from there I believe. From what I recall of the early bus discussions it had something to do with get CMs to whatever park they needed to be at?

But I did notice on our last trip that the buses were running very early in the morning before any guests were up and about.

I'm a little slow today. People (non-resort guests) park at DTD (which is free) and then hop a resort bus (usually to SSR, it's closest) and transfer to a park bus, thus avoiding having to pay to park at the Park. Now, there's a sign telling these people to take the POFQ to accomplish this?

Ok. I would think they need to come up with a way to prevent people from doing this at all, not helping them out with instructions!

I agree. This makes no sense.

I agree that this does seem to give ideas to people trying to beat the parking system. However, it also lets WDW resort guests know how to get from DTD to a park without having to return to their own resort. Going back to AKL to get to Epcot from DTD for example. My hope is this means they are also increasing the buses to POR. Disney tends to "experiment" with new transportation ideas in the off-season -- not all are successful.

I wonder if this is because POR is the closest CRO resort on the standard route. If they kept allowing the DTD “guests” on SSR eventually it they admitted the situations they would have had to reimburse DVC for a portion of the service. With this sign they do not have to worry about what percentage to reimburse.

Part of the original problem when SSR opened was bus drivers were telling everyone to use the SSR busses. I saw this numerous times when SSR first opened.
