SICO bed?

Does anyone know what a Sico (mobile) bed is? I was looking at a Junior Suite and it said that in the parlor is a Sico bed. Anyone know what that is and if it is comfy? Thanks!

A Sico bed is like a Murphy bed -- it folds out of the wall. These suites are designed so they can be used for business purposes and small meetings but still house overnight guests as well.

I have slept on the Sico bed in the Dolphin and it still has the heavenly bed mattress so it is fine to sleep on...no complaints here.

In '91, they had them in some rooms at the Village Resort. There was some confusion at check in one year and for some reason, we didn't have an answer about what they were before we were able to get into the room. We went to the restaurant (Pompano Grill, I think) and the waiter there took charge and started calling around for us and didn't stop until he got an answer. (Jeff was awesome. He would tell people sitting at Wanda's tables that she was hard of hearing so they should speak up for her. One year we complained that there weren't any grapes on the floor like there had been the year before, so he took care of that situation, too. )

It folds out from the wall. They've been featured in many an old-time comedy - an I Love Lucy, I think, too. I seem to think a couple of the guys on Queer Eye folded one of the others up in one on a recent episode, too.

I think it the idea is that you can get a decent sized, normal mattress instead of a thin, fold-away back-breaker.
