shuttle to sea world?

the search option isn't working too well for me right now & i think this has been addressed before.

is there a shuttle from the USF hotels to sea world? is it free? what time does it leave - does it pick up in the a.m. at each hotel? what time does it pick up at sea world? will it accommodate strollers?

should we just take a taxi & if so, how much do you think that'll be round trip?

i just found some threads about it.....after reading them, it seems like there's no guarantee that you'll get there before or in time for the park's opening plus i don't want to deal w/ full busses, etc. SO we'd like to a take a taxi....do they have them at the hotels waiting (not sure which hotel we're staying in yet) or do you call ahead of time? how much total?? thanks.

WE took the free shuttle to Sea World and got there just before they were opening. This was in July which is a busy season. The schedule for the shuttle changes based on the time or year.
If you want a taxi, the hotel will get one for you.

we'll be there some time during the first week of May.....if we'll be there at or around opening then i guess that would be the way to go for free. i guess we can make the decision - taxi or shuttle - then when we get there since the taxi can be arranged that day. maybe i could bring the # for the taxi & take the taxi home from sea world if the return times didn't work out for us. i just don't want to get stranded w/ 2 small children at sea world, esp if one becomes ill, etc.

You are paying for Airport to Hotel transportation and contemplating Taxis.
Why not rent a car? When you add it all up it won't cost much more and you will have peace of mind.

Shuttle times do vary. I have pictures from last year, but they change month to month.

The time the shuttle bus leaves for SWF is 10am, so you wouldn't get there until 10:30am. That's kinda late if you ask me.

How many days are you staying? If you rent the car, it's $7 per night to park at the RPR, plus gas, plus parking at SWF. But you can come and go as you please. If you only stay a couple nights, the rental car is worth it. If you stay the entire week, then the parking fees would add up.

I think you have the right idea by waiting to see what the shuttle times will be when you show up.

steevo, you're probably right....that's what i need to do....add up airport/ hotel round trip transportation & sea world taxi vs. hotel parking, rental car, gas. i'm not sure yet.
