Please help me.

This is the first time I will rent a car in Port Canaveral after Disney Cruise ...... I will probably be ready to leave the port around 9AM..... So ... What time does the Alamo shuttle pick me up at the terminal and drop me off at the Alamo office? What time would be a good time for me to pick up the car?

Once off the ship there are lines for the car rental shuttles. So, it really depends on how many people are ahead of you and how big your party is. They fill the shuttles as people arrive. We waited 20 mins for a shuttle in August - but we were not in a hurry and I think we were a part of a busy time. If you can sign up for preferred customer status with the rental company it makes it really fast when you get to the rental location. We were with Alamo and it went quite fast. Hope that helps.

Piece of cake! Shuttles line up close to the doors...easy to find. 5 minute ride to Alamo. Easiest rental car experience I've ever had!

Thank you..... Do you know what time does the Alamo shuttle starts piking up at the terminal?

I would say at least by 8:00 am. Check their opening times...it should be soon after that. We rented from Alamo on November 14th while the Magic was in port for the day (NYC to Bahama cruise with a stop at PC) and I made advance reservations with Alamo. I received a confirmation for a pick time of 8:00 am. My confirmation said the office hours were 7:30-4:00 that day. I had no idea if the shuttle would be there when I got off the ship. I then got very nervous when I called the office that morning to see if shuttles would be there since a ship is not normally in port that day. I called 4 times with no answer at the office and the recording said the office was closed on Wednesdays! I was then prepared to just take one of the DCL buses to the parks if the office was really closed. Well, we left the ship and the shuttle was waiting there at the curb (several different rental car shuttles were there). Our driver left immediately to the office and we were there in 5 minutes. We were literally the only ones in the office. The Alamo guy said he only had 2 reservations that morning so since the office if usually closed on Wednesday he was only there till they picked up their cars. The office phone doesn't ring through on Wednesdays (I thought that was odd). We returned the car at the Dolphin and rode the DCL bus back to the ship that night. Easiest pick up ever since we were the only ones there.

Anyway, sorry for the long-winded post and I know this doesn't really pertain to a regular debarkation day but I just wanted you to know the rental place is close and the shuttle was there waiting. I don't know if they run more than 1 physical bus on normal cruise days but this bus had the logo for Alamo, National and Enterprise on it.

We did an Alamo rental after our cruise in February. It was super easy. We walked off the ship when we were ready - we had early breakfast and got off around 8 or so I guess. All of the rental shuttles park in the same area and there are signs to find your particular one. We found the shuttle, got on, another family got on a few minutes later, and then we left. It took maybe 10 minutes max. They did not wait for the shuttle to be completely full.

We rented from that Alamo in Sept 17 after the cruise. We did the Express walk off thing and there was an alamo shuttle that early. I cant recaall right off the timing on the express walk off

We rented from National last month both to the port and then back to Orlando.

On the trip to the port, I talked to the shuttle driver and he recommended getting off the ship around 8 to avoid long lines at the shuttle and rental car counters. We grabbed pastries from Cabanas and got off the ship before second breakfast was finished. We waited for one shuttle to come (5 mins) and there was no line at the rental office when we arrived.

Locating the shuttles is really easy. They have designated spots in the bus lot.

Just make sure you have a reservation. When we rented Alamo back in September an entire family wanted to take the Alamo shuttle and get a car without a reservation. They had no cars left for last minute rentals and we’re not allowed on the shuttle. Why they didn’t reserve ahead of time? I’m thinking maybe someone on bord told them a rental may be cheaper than a can and they decided to first check out a rental????
