Staying @ Port Orleans French Quarter . What are rough estimates between hotel & each park in minutes? I looked up Google maps & range was 10 to 25 minutes depending on park. Thanks for everyone's help.

Using Disney transportation, budget an hour.
Using your own transportation, budget 30 minutes.

You need to figure in bus wait times...so that would be anywhere from 0 to 25 mins. This is why we tell people to figure on an hour from resort to park, or vice versa!

In all reality? I was totally shocked at how little time it took me to drive from BW to DTD!!! I was used to taking the bus. And that would entail about 45-60 mins usually. When I drove? It was about 12 mins!!! It will take a lot less time if you drive. But, you also have to add in time to get to the park entrances from the parking lots if you drive. Many entail taking a tram or such.

That's why I figured budgeting 30 minutes. Figure 15 minutes to drive, 5-10 to get from the car through the gates, and 5-10 "just in case".

The Unofficial Guide (any edition from the last ten years or so) has a time comparison chart: longest/shortest, your car/Disney bus range including possible wait.

I did see that. Thanks. I will adjust accordingly. I mistakenly factored that the buses would conveniently run around our schedule xD As one Simpson would say "D'oh!!"

I know...I was just giving a 'breakdown' so that the OP could see why it could take an hour, when she may be seeing drive times of 15 mins!!
