All of the official websites and postings say that you can pick up your disk the last morning. Is it possible to pick it up the last night? Maybe during main seating for dinner?

Thanks

We had tried this on our past 3 cruises, but we have always been told 'no'. But in the morning it is pretty quick, as they have extra help and everything is ready to go. UNLESS you are missing something! That is a whole new can of worms :(

They burn the disks over night because they want to include the pictures from the final night on the disk, so no, they are not ready early. The best way to try and eliminate last minute issues is to make sure you have all your pictures in your portfolio (on the computer/kiosk) in advance, so that if something is missing, it can be found and added before the madness in the morning.

After our 15 day WBPC Cruise, I had two issues, first, I was given a CD that said disk 1 of 2...and it had a rubberband around it and the guy assured me at pickup there was only one disk...well, there was two, so I had to go back and get in line again. Then, for whatever reason, the pictures were not loading on my computer. I connected to the internet and loaded the software and everything. In the end, they burned me a new CD with the images straight up without the software component. We spent two and a half hours trying to get it resolved and I started the process at 5:30am.

It is very easy to pick up in the morning. They do prepare the CDs overnight so they are not ready to go until the morning, but you can easily get it.

We did this and got some wonderful photos of all of us. It was great not having to spend time reviewing them on the ship. We are huge picture people- it is only worth it if you are really into the photos.

Can I ask how much is Shutters all inclusive disc? Or does it depend on the length of your cruise? Trying to figure out ahead of time.

It depends on the length of your cruise. I know our 14 night cruise with all pics and CD was $430 or so (advance purchase with discount). We ended up with about 400 pictures!

I have purchased the all photo cd twice and both times it was available to collect on the last night. The shutters photographers were not out taking photos on the last night. Both cruises were EBTA if that makes a difference?

Anyone know the ballpark cost of a seven-night photo cd? Just trying to budget.
I'd figure it to be about half of pp's 14-night, but you never know...

The CD price varies by length of cruise. The post below is from last fall, so prices may or may not have changed but should give you a good idea for budgeting:

Yes, it's cheaper to purchase the full CD option pre-cruise. Here's the pricing info that I've gathered:

Individual prices are:
8X10 - $20.95
6X8 - $14.95

The packages are 6 ($99.95), 10 ($149.95), 15 ($199.95), and 20 ($249.95) photos. Different length cruises have different options. You can also purchase an all prints package (all your photos printed) for the same cost as the length of cruise CD.

The length of cruise CD cost varies with length of cruise. The prices I've seen are (for pre-cruise purchase/onboard cost):
7 night $295.95/$100.00 to add prints/$349.95, $100.00 to add prints;
5 night $249.95/$50.00 to add prints;
4 and 3 night $229.95/$50.00 to add prints/$229.95, $75.00 to add prints;
2 night $199.95/$50.00 to add prints
Special CD prices –
14 night $339.95/$100.00 to add prints;
12 night $339.95/$100.00 to add prints

The 6, 10, 15, & 20 photo packages can be either prints or the CD with 6, 10, 15, or 20 photos unlocked for your access once home.

Recent reports have the prices for onboard purchases of the above packages at $50.00 more than the pre-purchase price.

I'll also point out, if you purchase a package and it looks like you're not going to get enough pictures for it to be worth it to you, you can cancel the package and just purchase what you want. This has to be done by the last full day of the cruise.

Enjoy your cruise!

Definitely not half the price. I was shocked that the 14 nighter was just a few more dollars than the 7 nighter. That is why we ended up buying the full package and it worked out to be about 50 cents per print and digital copy, so that was a STEAL...but we had to work at it to get that many pictures.

Just checked prices for Aug 29, 7 night cruise online and they are the same as quoted in post #9. $295.95 for full cd plus $100 to add all prints

What time does Shutter open on the last morning. Trying to get off the ship as soon as customs has cleared us.

Thanks for all of the responses.

They were there when we woke up. It's pretty early. They know people want their CDs. For us, it wasn't actually at the Shutters desk. There was a guy at a table nearby with all the CDs. At the Shutters desk, people seemed to be doing other things. It was nice that it was separated.

I always recommend to people to pre order the CD package, that way you an get the discounted rate, take photos whilst your onboard and take a look at them in your portfolio and if you don't like any of them you can ask for a refund to be issued. We have bought the CD all 3 cruises, we always have our own camera with us, but find the Photos taken by Shutters amazing. Plus they catch so many magical moments that aren't taken with personal cameras.

Our first cruise was a 4 day cruise and we left with maybe 400 photos, we took heaps of character photos and most location shots onboard and at Castaway. When we did our back to back earlier this year 7 days all up we had about 700 I think :)

Honestly it doesn't take long at all, the worst night in my opinion at Shutters is the very last night of the cruise as everyone is going through their folders and looking at the photos they might want to purchase.

When you pick them up in the morning they have a separate table set up with all the preorders CDs so all you have to do is go down and tell them your room number and they pass you the CD, in and out in less then 5 minutes :)

We just purchased for the EBPC 14 day trip and yes, it does seem discounted for the longer cruises (makes me happy, lol). We figure, we will see how many pictures we get taken, without trying too hard, Disney takes lots of pictures and when the characters are dressed up differently, well, come on, you need a pic with each of them! Lol. Anyhow, with being able to cancel up to the last night of the cruise if you are not happy (or is it morning, you just have to tell them before end of cruise), it seems like a win-win. If you end up with many good pics, you get them all, if you are happy with none, you get a refund.

We went through the math and concluded that it was better for us to just pay for the full picture/cd package than to spend the time on the ship going through the pictures to only buy 10 or 20. We got to enjoy the ship more vs arguing, um discussing, over which photo is better than which to whittle it down to 10 or 20... :chat:
