We are planning a trip to WDW in October and had read all the wonderful things about Shula's so we were considering making reservations for one night. DH was wondering how shula's matches up with Ruth Chris? Anyone tried both? If so which did you like best. We feel price will be about the same. Thanks

They are very comparable. I personally like Ruth's Chris a little better, but we really, really enjoyed our meal at Shula's.

we tried shula's for the first time in april and it was wonderful! a nice night out for the two of us ( the kids got room service at the beach club villas). we have eaten at ruth chris and shula's compares very favorably! the service, the food and the wine list were excellent! a very nice dinner and we recommend it highly. enjoy!

Never been to Ruth Chris' but have been to Morton and Plaza III and neither compare to Shula's. The service, portions and quality at Shula's is SUPERIOR.

We ate at Shulas in April, DH is a proud member of the 48oz club!!

There is no childrens menu. I did see a few toddlers there when we were there.

The food is to die for!!! Its pricey, but its well worth the money. My DH will pay quite a bit for a good steak dinner and he was extremely pleased. The service is fantastic. Youve got to try it at least once. I know we will go again. DH tells everyone about it.

I spoke with the manger in February regarding the children's menu. As the previous poster said there isn't one but the will not charge a plate splitting fee for kids.

IMHO Shula's is not only NOT child friendly, but not an appropriate place to take younger kids. The atmosphere is distinctly adult--many business people there. The service is too liesurely for most kids.

There is a reason they don't offer a child's menu...it's because frankly they don't want them there...but just won't tell you that to your face...so they use subliminal means, like no child's menu, free childcare at the Dolphin kids club while you dine, and a clearly stated (although regretfully, not enforced) dress code. It doesn't get much clearer than that.
