Shows you used to enjoy, but just don't anymore

-HIMYM: I don't freaking care who the mother is anymore!
-Glee: They lost me when Sue Sylvester got pregnant.
-AI: They lost me when Kris Allen won
-America's Next Top Model: Tyra has just gotten too insufferable and the photo shoots are ridiculous but not in a fun way.
-Once Upon a Time: The storylines are so convoluted and there are too many characters. I feel like I need a scorecard. Plus Ginnifer Goodwin's hair is horrible.
-Project Runway: Too many nasty people and stupid judging decisions. Plus the show is too long at 90 minutes.
-True Blood: Just went downhill.

I will say, however, that last season I stopped watching Castle because it lost my interest. I tuned back in this season and I've been pleased so far.

A show I vacillate on is White Collar. Sometimes it's good and other times (usually when Sarah shows up), it's baaaaaad. Too hit or miss for me. Luckily for them, Matt Bomer is always scrumpdilicious, so I keep tuning in just to see him.

I'm tired of American Idol and Survivor and the Amazing Race. I never really got into the other network reality shows.

I agree that The Office has been a disappointment. It's good to hear that the last few episodes might be better.

Revenge-- lost interest

America Next Top Model--Tyra got a big head and made up weird names for the girls.

Mike and Molly-- This show was really funny but this season is really bad.

Used to love the CSI shows too but can't watch them anymore with.

I hate to say this, I feel like a traitor, I like the old Big Bangs way more than the new ones. :sad1:

Totally with you on this. I am a HUGE Big Bang nut, and this season has just been miserable, I think. Of course, its viewership is higher than ever, so who knows?

I still watch it, hoping for the occasional throwback episode. But, when I watch my TBBT DVDs or in syndication, there is a significant difference between the shows circa Season 1-2 (when they were amazing) and now. Again, in the beginning, it was an on-the-fence show, and now it is a huge hit, so maybe I am just weird that way.

Last week's episode was hard for me to watch.

HIMYM - Still watching but might drop by the end of this season.

I was under the impression that this was the last season anyway?

Royal Pains. Plot lines that go nowhere...cliff hangers that are never resolved...this show is a mess! Henry Winkler and the guy who plays Evan are carrying this show. Evan's girlfriend is very good, too. They gave the actors cushy contracts that allow them to work less. There are now more scenes with unsub stuff and less of the team.

I'm still watching, but it isn't as good.

Yeah, I was wishy-washy on it there for a while. Like you said, Evan and his gf seem to be the heart of the show now, when it should have been Hank, but darn it, they just cannot get me to care about Hank that much.

The one thing that kept me glued to RP this last season, and hopefully next season, was the addition of Dr Sacani/Jeremiah. He is just so quirky and OCD and Sheldon Cooper-esque. If he did not continue on with the show, I would probably drop it. I don't love the others enough to suffer through some of the other pitiful storylines.

when I saw the title of this thread, how I met your mother was what I first thought of. It has lost something, or maybe it just fizzled out and ran its course.

CSI-I used to watch all the time, but just faded away from it.

Amazing Race

Revenge. I felt really bad about this one because I enjoyed it last year. But when there are 6 episodes on the dvr and I have to physically force myself to turn it on, it is probably time to stop watching.

The Office. I am only still watching because it is the last season, last year was ridiculous (and not in a good way). But this year is better.

Glee. Just hanging on by a thread. I usually watch while I'm cleaning or internet surfing, so it is just a background show. Marley is about the least likeable character ever, then she goes and faints and ruins their chance to make it to Finals...so not even sure what the show is going to be about for the rest of the season.

I don't really watch too much tv to begin with...so all I have left is Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time, Big Bang, American Dad, Family Guy and New Girl. At least Community will be back soon, and I think Revolution is coming back at some point too.

...dare I say it? AI does nothing for me anymore....'specially with the revolving judge's door....:confused3

We never finished the last season of 24. And stopped watching 30 Rock in the middle of last season -- it got overly ridiculous. DH stopped watching Survivor and Amazing Race a couple of years ago -- I still like them. And Top Chef -- I decided if I can't taste the food, I'm not interested. Still love Big Bang Theory, though. (and never got started on Grey's, Bones, CSI; kids love HIMYM, but I always thought it was not that funny.)

True Blood's last two season were really bad. They should've stuck with the story lines in the books.

Ghost Hunter. I've watched it for years. Now Grant left and they actually mentioned gnomes as a potential source of activity in one episode. They just totally lost me with that.

Agreed! They were losing me but I like where this season is going. I guess I am sentimental because I have trouble giving up shows, even when they get bad.

I still watch Private Practice & The Office even though I don't enjoy them as much. I know it's the last season of the Office so I want to see how they wrap it up. I keep threatening to quit watching PP but keep tuning in anyway.

I quit AI several seasons ago and don't watch most reality shows now. I do like the Voice though.

Agreed here too! I was over it after the plane crash... but I like this season a lot better than last season. Some really interesting storylines.

As others have said, Glee... but we quit watching last season. We've also stopped Once Upon a Time. Just a little too ridiculous for me, but I never got into it (even as a Disney fan!).

I also used to watch Bones every week but I don't anymore. Just kind of got out of the habit, I guess it wasn't keeping my interest.

The only shows I watch every week are Castle and Grey's.

My husband and I watch 2 Broke Girls (sometimes funny, sometimes eh - we wish they would take off Sofie), Big Bang Theory (not as funny as it used to be), and occasionally How I Met Your Mother (as others have said - not so great anymore). We also watch the League on FX, which is hit or miss... but we give it a chance since the first season is the funniest thing I've ever watched on TV.

I'd say dexter until, this weeks episode.

And next season is the last season and that just hurts my heart.

I haven't watched HIMYM in years. Their still sitting in the bar night after night, it got old fat.

Glee--I gave that up this year after a few episodes. It lost it's magic last season.

American Horror Story--last year, I was glued to it. this year, it's all just too much. They've thrown EVERYTHING into the mix.

hm. both are shows by Ryan Murphy. :scratchin

i'd already given up on Survivor, CSI, and Amazing Race a few years ago.

and shows that i used to really watch, but now just have on as "background noise" are The Voice, American Idol, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and Project Runway.

Another one who's disenchanted with Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. Didn't finish last season and haven't watched this season at all. American Idol won't get my viewing either.

And someone else mentioned "Lost" - I gave up on it. They "lost" me too at the end!

My interest in American Idol has been waning the last few season, but this year after they announced the new judges lineup, I finally just deleted the timer.

I'm not as into Glee this season, although I am still watching. I pretty much watch EVERYTHING on DVR now that we have DS and can usually only watch TV once he goes to bed, so I never did watch it during the actual broadcast, but it was one of those shows I always liked to catch up on as soon as I could. Not so much this season.

I gave up CSI a long time ago when Grissom left. And I gave up Survivor for a few seasons because it just got too repetitive. But I have been watching the last few, and yes, it is still repetitive, but I guess I just needed to be away from it for awhile!

Other shows with cast change-ups that were mentioned in other posts don't bother me nearly as much. I still enjoy Grey's Anatomy, Criminal Minds (although I don't really like the "weird" episodes as much, like the one this past week with the marionettes), Royal Pains, and especially American Horror Story! And I enjoyed (read: LOVED) Lost until the very bitter end.

Most of my guilty pleasure shows lost their pleasure at some point in the last three years. Glee was amusing and a little subversive when it first came on; now it's a cheap pop parody of itself. Grey's Anatomy used to be delicious and silly froth, and now it's just a bad soap. Gossip Girl, much like the OC, was fantastic for the first season, watchable for the second, and wretched past that--though, I admit, I'll be watching next Monday for sentimentality's sake. And The Vampire Diaries peaked about two years ago.

30 Rock was never a guilty pleasure, but it also became a parody of itself about two seasons ago--and I can't deal with a parody of a parody. The Office Season Two was one of my very favorite seasons of television ever, but I stopped paying attention years ago.

I'm still watching Parks and Rec and New Girl regularly. I get my silliness from Nashville, which has been shaky but occasionally scene-chewingly fantastic. Don't Trust the B is sometimes funny and sometimes maddening. I'm excited for Justified and the end of Breaking Bad, and I'm late to the game but catching up on Homeland.

But mostly, I was having more fun watching tv three years ago than now.

Revenge
American Idol
True Blood
The Office
Cupcake Wars

And 30 Rock was terrible for a couple seasons, but came back with a bang this season, IMO!

True Blood's last two season were really bad. They should've stuck with the story lines in the books.

Ghost Hunter. I've watched it for years. Now Grant left and they actually mentioned gnomes as a potential source of activity in one episode. They just totally lost me with that.

Oh, I must have missed the one about the gnomes, LOL. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it without Grant but we are still doing OK with it. Now Ghost Adventures is getting old to me. They spend too much time with fake (and sometimes gross) re-enactments and I just want them to get on with the investigation :rotfl2:

Glee is off of my DVR now and so is Idol.
I was really disappointed with the last season of True Blood also but I'll still give next season a chance before I remove it from a coveted spot on my DVR lineup :lmao: I agree with you though, it would have been much better if they had stuck to the storyline in the books :thumbsup2

I'm hanging on to Grey's still and I think Private Practice is winding down anyway so I will try to stick that one out.
