Shows you used to enjoy, but just don't anymore

Was a huge fan of American Idol but haven't watched that since after Carrie Underwood won.

Glee- This is my biggest disappointment. I still watch, in hopes that it picks up again. But its a DVR catch up show, never a live one.

HIMYM - Jumped the shark, but I want to know who the heck the mom is.

Top Chef & Project Runway - Now, I only DVR it and watch the last bits of it. Just to see what they made and who gets kicked off.

Grey's Anatomy - I so love those characters that I keep watching even though the show doesn't really cut it anymore

30 Rock - It really should have ended a few seasons ago.
2 and a Half Men - We stopped Recording that when Ashton replaced Charlie. Even before then we were already over it.
House - We stopped watching that about 3 seasons before the end.
Revolution - My husband still loves it, but I could really do without it!

I went away from The Office last season, but I'm back now that it's definitely the final season. I have to say I've enjoyed the last few episodes without Ed Helms. I like him but not as the focal point of the show. Gives room to write more interesting things for the other characters.

I'm so sorry I ever started watching HIMYM. I find it virtually unwatchable these days, but doggone it I've stayed with it for 8 seasons and I guess I'm going to subject myself to the rest rather than quit now. I can't believe this is the same show that gave us such good stuff in the first 3 seasons or so.

I turned to DH last week after sitting through another week of Glee and told him I thought I was over it. And I was a serious hard core fan, who even bought all the music in the beginning.

HIMYM has run it's course - they need to wrap it up. It was so funny and clever but it's lost it's charm.

I'm holding onto Grey's with a death grip :)

Same - I totally agree with all the above.

Modern Family and 30 Rock. They seem to have run their course.

Totally with you on this. I am a HUGE Big Bang nut, and this season has just been miserable, I think. Of course, its viewership is higher than ever, so who knows?

I still watch it, hoping for the occasional throwback episode. But, when I watch my TBBT DVDs or in syndication, there is a significant difference between the shows circa Season 1-2 (when they were amazing) and now. Again, in the beginning, it was an on-the-fence show, and now it is a huge hit, so maybe I am just weird that way.

Last week's episode was hard for me to watch.

We didn't watch Big Bang at all until it hit syndication & only started watching current episodes this season. There's definitely a difference in the feel of the show, but having said that DW & I have laughed our you-know-whats off a lot this season. But, I can understand how a long-time viewer may dislike the current direction.

I see many mention AI & Survivor here. I think we're about done with Idol. We didn't care for the show with no Simon & I'm thinking Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum are going to ruin it for good this year.

Survivor we still watch, but it's grown very stale of late. The game is still intriguing, but it's clear they're no longer starving (remember when they used to bring out the scale?), and I have fully HAD IT with the same ol' same ol' beach setting.

Adding:

Happy Endings: thought this was funny and well written. Loved the character of Jane. Now it's totally over the top and unrelatable. The characters are caricatures of themselves.

Private Practice: Got bored of the whole thing

Suburgatory - really liked last season. This season...meh...can take it or leave it

My main problems so far this season are a) the absolute best chemistry on the show (acting-wise not romantic) is Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco. They just play off each other so beautifully. Their friendship has been virtually non-existent this season. Sheldon brings out Penny's spunkiness, and Penny challenges Sheldon in a way no brainiac could. There's been a lot of girls' only and guys' only scenes. And, a lot of each relationship's scenes. But, the lack of the original gang altogether, and Penny (knock knock knock) Penny (knock knock knock) Penny (knock knock knock) just makes me so sad.

While I like Amy in general (and think she deserves better), I feel like.....she has ruined Sheldon. She begs for and tricks and manipulates him into physical contact or other non-Sheldony situations. I just don't find that cute or funny. She knew what she was getting into when she started this thing.

One bright point for me for this season is the addition of Margo Harshman as Alex the Intern. She is super adorable! I hope they can find a place for her to be at least a permanent recurring character on the show.

How I Met Your Mother seems to have jumped the shark for us. We're ready to delete the timer as we've already done with 2 1/2 Men. :(

I still faithfully tune in to HIMYM and I will continue to do so until I find out who that mother is! However, I'm tired of the show starting with the end and then going back, because now I know I won't find out this season.

Two and a Half Men became unbearable a fews ago. I can't watch it now.

Revenge is starting to uninterest me because I don't know where the show can go from here. I will still watch because I really like Emily Van Camp. Hopefully it will get better.

That's one I missed! I haven't given up on it yet, but this season is definitely not as good as last. Although the episode with Sheila seeing her daughter's boyfriend naked was pretty damn funny...

I did not like HIMYM at first, because the humor was just a bit too raunchy for my conservative taste. It wasn't something I could sit and watch with my family, because inevitably some innuendo would come up that would just be uncomfortable for everyone.

However, I did get into it more recently, just for the whole mystery aspect of it. Gathering the hints and clues and trying to rule people out and guess who it could be. I found that part of it fun, so I do watch it in syndication if home alone or I will watch the newer episodes online.

But, yeah, ever since the Season Finale, and the whole who's marrying who (or so we think?), it feels like this show is just limping pathetically across the finish line.

True Blood's last two season were really bad. They should've stuck with the story lines in the books.

Ghost Hunter. I've watched it for years. Now Grant left and they actually mentioned gnomes as a potential source of activity in one episode. They just totally lost me with that.

....and that's why I faithfully watch Ghost Adventures...

My main problems so far this season are...

I think there's some things I like about this season, and some I don't. On one hand, I enjoy the new interactions that are possible as a result of the relationships, and seeing how the Sheldon-ish properties carry over (think "I'm obligated as your boyfriend to take care of you"). On the other hand, some of the situations and the humor seems a bit contrived (the spanking, for instance).

All of that said, still my favorite show on television currently, and among my all time favorites.

Oh, I must have missed the one about the gnomes, LOL. I wasn't sure how I would feel about it without Grant but we are still doing OK with it. Now Ghost Adventures is getting old to me. They spend too much time with fake (and sometimes gross) re-enactments and I just want them to get on with the investigation :rotfl2:
I missed the gnomes too. :lmao:

I like that GH has somewhat changed their style because it feels a little bit like a new show. I still watch GA because I think that the guys are hilarious.

We loved the game episode where Penny & Amy destroyed Sheldon & Leonard primiarly because nobody could get Sheldon's clues. But, we both thought it wasn't true to character. Amy should have at least known what he was doing (even if she was on the other team).

I agree with those who have said American Idol. There are too many judges changes happening, and the contestants are getting boring. I used to be obsessed with the show, and would never miss an episode. But now I will never go out of my way to watch it. I don't even think I want to watch at all when the new season starts.

We used to watch The Office regularly. The last couple seasons we just have not watched it at all. I just do not have any interest in it anymore.

That why I watch GA too. I think its funny. They have been using that device which makes a bunch of static noise and I can't stand it so I haven't been watching as much.

The gnome episode was the second of the season. I think it was Steve that said it. It seems so silly and I was surprised because that is some I'd expect from GA or Paranormal State (which aso had a gnome episode).

Are you sure that Steve wasn't just joking? That does seem odd for them.

I miss Paranormal State. I didn't agree with their philosophies but I have a lot of respect for Ryan Buell after reading his book.

Sorry to go so off topic!
