My Dh says that he heard on the news that this movie was shown on tv in Cuba. When a dictator agrees with your stance-this is not a good thing. I have a lot of family there and my mom came over in 1961. What the population in Cuba thinks is of no consequence . They will never leave the island, so they have no influence on what goes on in the world anyway :(
If "he who must not be named" liked my movie, I'd be just a tad upset:rolleyes:

Anti-Bush filmed liked by Anti-Bush ruler, huh, who would have thought of that.

However, I do like that you linked most democrats in this country with a communist dictator, that was real slick.

Being anti-Bush is one thing. If he is pro-anyone else...that's scary.:(

I understand from the news a couple of weeks ago, that because it was shown on public tv in Cuba that the movie may not be eligible for an Oscar nods. Apparently there is some rule that it can't be on the television or on the store shelves until after the Oscars nominations come out.

the version shown on Cuban tv was a bootleg copy, so Moore's still eligible for the Oscar -- the committee has ruled on it/

actually I like the fact that the film was shown in Cuba -- even though the powers that be wanted to criticize Bush (well, gee), the film actually proves that in a free society you can criticize your leaders without repercussion -- not a bad message for the Cuban people to hear, huh?
