Here's mine from 1995 at the Sheraton Lakeside (now Best Western)

This wasn't 'my' dress - you know, the one you dream of. I had a fabulous silk dress with green & antique gold embroidery lined up for our planned church wedding. We soon got fed up with trying to please evryone so decided to get wed in Florida instead & the dress shop wouldn't do hires to take abroad.
I had to buy one & couldn't afford 'my' dress so had to pick one to buy from the sale rail instead - I was gutted at the time. All turned out well & the shop owner was very helpful, finding me somebody to customise the detail

Dw insisted I post these. We were married in 1974 just bairns, long hair and platform shoes were all the rage.as you can see it was the B/W era, only posh folk could afford colour then..

We will be celebrating 34 years of marriage on the 31st of this month.
