Thank you for the kind words, everyone. The success rate on these photos was about 1 in 3, which is pretty good for me. I use a Sony DSC F828, which is an 8 megapixel camera that has a lot of options on it, particularly when it comes to the exposure settings. If you have Photoshop, you can see the exact settings of the camera in the metadata of each picture. If you don't have Photoshop, I tended to use a fill flash in the day time about half of the time, and rarely at night. At night, a tripod was very necessary, and I took plenty of time to make sure the shot was good and re-take it until it was good. This was the advantage of not having the family with me... the only advantage, though. I didn't ride much on the six day I spent in WDW; I mostly pointed my camera at stuff I never get to shoot on real vacations. For the night shots, I used the camera's Scene mode. This would never work without a tripod... a shot like the tiki statues took about fifteen seconds of having the lens open, and during that time a couple actually walked between the camera and the statues, which explains the mist effect. Fortunately, most of the items I was shooting were buildings that don't tend to move very much. The camera takes really good night shots, and that's one of the reasons I bought it. Glad you enjoyed the pictures... now I need to work backwards on this thread and see a bunch of WDW shots from youse guys so I don't go into withdrawal!
