That's awesome! I'm glad to know that more and more brides like me are picking rings using stones they actually really like : I love amethyst, too but I've been looking at different colored sapphires lately.

If you like Sapphires you may like Iolite (the stone we chose for my ring). I posted a few pages back, but here is my ring again- I love it- it is a very deep blue, sometimes purple in certain lights. It's kinda rare- every time I have it cleaned no matter what jeweler I take it to they have never heard of Iolite

i must admit that when i first started to look at rings i was hesitant about the amethyst because it was non traditional but i got over that very fast, it just stands out i'm glad he picked the ring that he did.

I can finally play this game too!! My DF proposed to me 10/1/11 at the Magic Kingdom!! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in the Haunted Mansion queue!!! I was so shocked!! We have always knew we would get engaged/married some day... but I was not expecting it! I am soo happy! We want to do a Disney Wedding but need to save up the $$ first... we aren't in any rush. Here is my promise ring. Tim gave it to me on our trip.

I know it seems...high-schoolish, I guess? But I thought it was so adorable. We've been talking about getting married in 2014/2015, so no rush, and he wanted to show me how special I was to him.

Hopefully it's okay that I posted this. I know that it says promise rings on the title, but I don't want to overstep any boundaries I didn't know about.

Beautiful rings ladies!!

Here is mine! It is a 3/4 caret Leo in platinum, its colorless and inclusion free...it sparkles like nothing I have ever seen!!

My wedding band is a 1/2 caret tw white gold band, I wanted an eternity band but the jeweler commented on how hard it is to re-size one and since we do plan on having at least one child in the future he would suggest I get it later.

And my FI wants something simple for his wedding band...like this one...

The only ring we don't have yet is FI's...cannot wait to go shopping for it soon!!
