That was a few years ago; the crop of chickens back then were smart enough to roost on the horses' backs at night in the winter to keep warm. The current ones....um, no.

OK you crack me up, I love the chickens. When I was alot younger friends of mine were on their way home from the beach and found a chicken behind Ginos (a fried chicken restaurant). They put it in a bag and brought it home, I ended up naming her Gina, I even painted her toenails pink. So I think the chickens are very cute oh and the Turkey too!!!

Hey Ducklite how does your greyhound like your ferrets? does he have a high prey drive? They are all beautiful.

Barq's is to the left. We're not sure of his breed. He is a Katrina rescue. He is kinda crazy--sweet, but crazy. I guess that's why he fits in with our family.

Barq looks like an Australian Shepard. They are very lovable dogs and great herders!

Hey Ducklite how does your greyhound like your ferrets? does he have a high prey drive? They are all beautiful.

As long as the ferrets aren't running around on the floor, Skeet ignores them. He doesn't see them as prey when they are in their crate or I'm holding them. Needless to say when they are out of their crate, he's in a different room. If he's in the same room, he's in his crate and muzzled and I'm watching 100%.

He's cat (ignores them) and small dog (loves them!) friendly, so his prey drive isn't all that high.

The funny thing is that Pudge thinks Skeet's just another ferret, and tries to squeeze into his crate to play with him. So I really have to watch her carefully (and hence the muzzle on Skeet). Unfortunately she's not really the brightest bulb in the pack. Jasper has Skeet on ignore.

Here are my 2. After having named my cats after cat food when I was little (Friskey and Whiskers, who still live with my mom) I decided my babies needed people names.

The black/white one is my baby Stuart (aka Stu and Stewie, when he was a baby he had a football shaped head just like stewie on family guy) and the tan one is Lucas. They are 2 and 2-1/2 so I love talking about my toddlers
