Not only are there some gorgeous pets on the DIS, there are obviously some great photographers too.

We have lots more than that, but these are the pets and egg layers. I had put easter eggs under those brown hens because I was enticing them to set on regular eggs so we could have chicks. Which they did, but apparently our rooster is all bark and no bite. Every single egg I left for her did nothing. Useless rooster if you ask me, but I don't have the heart to get rid of him.

Oooh, what kind are those black and white stripey-lookin' ones? I've always thought they were so pretty. Ours are kinda boring...mostly all Leghorn (mixed) and 2 pure Aracaunas. One of the offspring of Lucy, an orangey Aracauna we got from a grade-school class who'd raised her as a chick, has started laying the blue eggs, too, so my mom's pretty excited about that. Their eggs are HUGE.

We had to take that picture outside so he would actually be seen. All the indoor pictures just had a black void where he was. He's about 11 years old, I think, and he still gets mad at his tail. He's not a rocket scientist.

Hee hee! My cat's 10 and he chases his tail on a nightly basis. He also still flings and chases his catnip mice every day...I don't think he realizes he's not a kitten anymore.

The person I got them from said they were dominiques, but I think they're actually Barred Rocks. Dominique hens are supposed to have a rose comb- the kind that's kind of flat on top. I won't complain, I got them from freecycle. The little brown ladies are banties with feather-feet. They're very sweet!

But does your cat get infuriated at his own tail? Noah gets hacked off when he bites his own tail and it hurts! He is frequently on bad terms with his own tail!!!

Does anyone else have a dog who kind of talks/howls to you?

Yes, my Alaskan Malamutes do it. Sholow has quite the vocabulary-he can make more sounds than any dog I've ever known! I also had a Samoyed when I was growing up. I must tell you Elvis is GORGEOUS!!! Do you have a hard time keeping his coat clean and untangled? We had a hard time with our Samoyed (of course he was a huge male who liked to roll in the mud!!). Our Mals don't have quite as long of fur so it doesn't tangle, but we have fur EVERYWHERE all the time!

This is Bindi ...She is a border collie/australian shepherd mix.

Here she is all grown up - looking regal on the outside, holy terror on the inside.

When I was looking for Chrissy (she's in post #18), I was looking for a Border Collie mix. I think my next dog is going to be an Australian Shepherd.
So Bindi, she's a real terror, huh? Don't take this the wrong way, but her eyes are haunting.
She's gorgeous!

Yes, that can definitely be a problem. Do you have an attached garage or anything? I've known people who did that and it worked really well.

I just looked through seven pages of pet pictures and I have to say without a doubt Dis people have the most beautiful pets that I have ever seen.
After a really long day it was so nice to see such adorable pictures. Animal people are the best!

Harley. My cat I had to leave with my mom and aunt when I moved to the US. He is in very good hands though. They spoil him.

Tommy. The cat that adopted me when I moved. Was my MIL's cat that moved in with DH and I and just never left. The dust on his head is from exploring the boiler room.
