Show me your yellow walls!

Wow.. just wow. hehe

The countertops aren't that bad though. It's just a "different" color!

Yeah, just different....that's it! LOL! But then again, you know where I live right? The people who chose the original colors were also the people who thought it'd be a great idea to dig up the front yard to have a better driveway. :confused3

Yeah, we got a good price folks! :lmao:

Thanks that is my entryway (obviously :rotfl:) its Oakley stone and it is there forever! They're actually small boulders, and some of them are 3 ft deep, which my neighbour found out when he tried to dig his up

so you can over it but dont try to get rid of it completely!

My old kitchen. I love yellow walls!

Heh heh. Yea. . gotcha! I'm pretty sure it could have been ALOT worse!

My wife sponged our living room in mustardy yellow. I was dubious, but it turned out really great.

Now you might be tempted to say that the countertop color isn't so bad.....but I have counters on BOTH sides of my kitchen and an island. (So 3 long countertops done in this!) Not to mention that they used the same thing in the baths! :confused3:scared: AND 2000 sq ft of the same color carpet. :scared1: (If you couldn't guess, all my furniture is in neutral colors! LOL!)

Wow! All I can think of is 1980. I would think that you would need huge shoulder pads and big sprayed hair to go with that wallpaper!

My house is still stuck in the "Help I have 2 childen (one with special needs) and can't have anything breakable so all our furniture and decorations are study plastic or college dorm quality" phase. We are just now slowly evolving out of this into a real furniture and decorations. So I love seeing all the pictures to get ideas from!

:)

Unfortunately I don't think I have any pictures and I have since sold that house, but in my kitchen I used to have terra cotta floors that were almost a brick red...and I painted the walls in Bone, which is a yellow-y off white. The colors looked great together. It was pretty neutral, and when the sun hit the kitchen the walls looked very warm and golden. I loved it, and I plan to use the same flooring and wall paint in this house when we re-do the kitchen.

Good luck whatever you decide!

I painted my kitchen a nice, pale yellow. It's Sherwin Williams "Angelica Blossom." I don't think I have any pice online now, so I'll see if I can take some later on to post.

I love everyone's yellow.....my all time fave color.
here is my kitchen/DR it is a pretty agressive but warm yellow

It is against a terra cotta wall, and a walnut floor, and what you can't see is a wall of windows to the right.....so I can get away with a bold choice because it is toned down in person by the other elements (the blue blanket is covering my parent's present to my DD, a cedar chest that my Dad built)

The rest of the house is painted a sandier yellow, but all the rooms have lots of light, and terra cotta accents.

My favorite yellow is Humble Gold by Sherwin Williams. I can't find my camera and in the searches I've done online, the paint color comes across as peach when it is nowhere near peach. Humble Gold looks like a cross between 6902(Decisive Yellow) and 6910 (Daisy) in the present Sherwin Williams colors.

My bedroom is Benjamin Moore's Haystack yellow. Depending on the sun coming in the window, it is a pale yellow to a warm golden yellow. I love it.

My DBF is painting my parents kitchen yellow this weekend, I'll take a pic of it.. It's a softer yellow, I like it :)
