in your kitchen and throughout your house please.

By any chance does anyone have montagna cortina tile flooring??? If so would really love to see that thanks.

anyone? We will be getting our tile in soon. One of dh's choices is the tile I mentioned. Im a visual person so i need to see it layed in. The one he picked was the spots some dark some lite and i'm nervous is will look like stuff was spilled on it. I'm not sure if i'm nervous because I'm a simple solid colored person or if it because its different and I need to get use to it-lol! Hoping to get different ideas. I did a google image search twice but when i click on a picture A window pops up that my computer is infected with a virus and to clik the download virus program so I figured i'd ask here. Just trying to get different ideas. Thanks

Hi -

I wasn't familiar with the name you mentioned, so I looked it up and I believe I have the actual travertine stone that your tile is based on. I have to confess - I hate it. The previous owners of our house put it in the entryway and the powder room, and its yucky mushroom colored blotchiness makes me sad every time I look down. It darkens the entire space very obviously with a grey tone when a lot of other flooring has more yellow or true brown tones.

Definitely look at it in person and bring a substantial size mounted board to your space to see how it looks.

I have porcelain tile throughout my house in something similar looking to this. Mine does not have as dark of areas as the samples of this does but mine definitely is multi colored in natural colors like this and yes, my floor looks dirty all of the time. It's why I chose it.

Go buy a box of the tile. Take it home and lay it out on your floor in the room you're going to tile. look at it, walk on it, see if you can live with it. Don't pick it off one tile, if you're not sure now, you can't change it when it's laid. Be sure.

Your link looks pretty close to my tile color. Our tiles are 16x16. I would post a picture if I wasn't a techno idiot! (plus, it's dark out right now and if I took a picture it would appear even darker than it really is)

Whatever you do SEAL YOUR TILE. I can't stress this enough. The tile at my house is gorgeous but the grout isn't sealed so about 2x a year I am down on my knees with comet bleach gel scrubbing the tile. I am getting hardwood (not laminate) as soon as I no longer have dogs.

Dh bought the tile already with our 10% off coupon. He has a good eye when it comes to color and decoration stuff. He can see things in 3d instead of me needing to see it in person. I think I will be ok I think the kitchen light is whats making it look iffy. I like it in the in the dinning area. The thing is we are doing the 16x16 and I seen another tile that might be ok but its 12x12 or we see 20x20. I'm gonna go with dd on it and be positive. Its better than our white tile and I've lived with that for 12 years(it was in our house when we moved in).
another positive is no one will know if it dirty-lol!

plus I dont like change it takes me time to get use to things-lol! i'LL KEEP YA POSTED
