We are presently booked into a Windsor Hills villa for 10 nights but are thinking of treating ourselves to the last two nights at a Disney Deluxe hotel instead, though we can't decide if it would be worth the extra cost. I've always harboured a desire to stay on site at one of the top hotels and this may be the opportunity to do it.

Thinking of either Wilderness Lodger or the GF. We have 2 children who'll be 8 & 6 when we go. The look of the rooms at the GF doesn't really appeal to me, but the kudos of staying at the top hotel does. What would you do?

I have asked this question before and the general consensus (sp) was that the Poly is great, we have decided against it for this trip as we think our kiddies are a bit little for it but maybe in a couple of years. I would love to stay at AKL too in a Savannah view, just for a couple of nights, so I shall tell DH about that one day! :)

Hi
If you can afford to do so, do it!
You can take advantage of the early starts, transportation etc.,
We loved staying 'on site' when the kids were younger. Try and book a character meal or something special, to add to the occaision! You'll take home some great memories!

I agree with Tracy, whilst we enjoy the majority of our stay at a private villa we like a few nights with 'on-site' facilities too, staying in different places give the holiday more variety.
