As our trip gets closer I'm researching again...has anyone done the Tea at the Grand Floridian...did you like it? Was it worth it? How much was it? And besides tea what do you get...

I may like to take my girls to do this but I'm not sure if this is something dh would be into doing...any thoughts?

Thanks!;)

I love it (and I don't even drink tea :scared1: ). It is so relaxing. As for cost and what you get, this should help:

Also, do remember that as it only happens for a few hours a day ADRs are needed and fill up pretty fast. HTH.

I just love the afternoon tea at GF. I did it with friends on a girls only trip and it was a highlight. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was very good. And I don't drink tea either...:goodvibes

Hubby and I did it and we loved it, we would do it again in a heartbeat.

When you say take the girls..that depends on their age and if they can be quiet, as this is an adult experience.

There is a childrens tea also.

Yes and we loved it! Check out my pics and review in my March/April link

DH decided last night that we will stay at the GF in April 09 and he asked if I can book the "tea thing" again :lmao:

I think it is wonderful, and I don't even like tea! There are a lot of options on the menu, from full tea service to ala carte options; plus a child's "tea" with chocolate milk. Plus the Grand Floridian is such a beautiful resort to visit....I just wish I could afford to actually stay there! There were several men at the tea when we went - I actually took my dad!

I recently did this with my 11 year old DS and 9 year old DD. Both really enjoyed it, as did I. Since I drink hot tea for breakfast, both my kids were interested in having a cup of tea instead of the chocolate milk. They were fascinated by the sugar cubes, LOL.

I have also done this before as a solo visitor and think it is well worth the money. It's a very relaxing break from the parks, but still something you wouldn't do every day at home, KWIM?

My hubby and I really enjoy having tea at the Grand Floridian. Here's a link to a review I wrote about our afternoon tea last October. Just click and read - hope it helps! :goodvibes

Ladies, I enjoyed both of those reviews so much. The photographs and descriptions were incredible, other than I was dying to see the strawberries and cream photo but it didn't show. :lovestruc I have an upcoming solo trip and I have already booked this for just little ole' me. :cloud9:

I think this would be a perfect opportunity for Dad to have tea party with his girls. It is something they wont forget. Having tea was always special as a child to me and carried through to me as a grown up.

I've done this tea twice, once being on my birthday, and both times were great! I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and the service and food/tea were very good. I would definitely do this again!
