Hi,
We are looking at going to WDW from 7/4 to 7/12. Booked with a conference I am attending, the rate for BC is 169. We love free dining, but have never seen it in the summer. Has anyone ever gotten a free dining in July?

I paid 240 a night and that was with 40% off. That is a great rate. I would take it. You will never get BC at that rate again. Rack rate is probably over 400 night before taxes. I don't think free dining would save you as much.

Another one who says "take it"....that's a great rate!

Looking at mousesavers, last years July discounts were pretty sparse (no Free Dining either) ;)

For stays 4/22/11-8/13/11 25%-30% off room-only discount for general public became available 4/1/11, exp 4/30/11
For stays 5/29/11-8/13/11 25%-30% off room-only discount for general public became available on 5/1/11, exp 5/28/11
For stays 6/3/11-8/13/11 20%-35% off Annual Passholder room-only rates became available on 4/25/11, exp 8/13/11
For stays 6/3/11-8/13/11 20%-35% off Florida resident room-only rates became available on 5/9/11, exp 8/13/11

Just as an example using the discount that came out last April in July the Beach Club, standard view room ran $289 – $241 (depending on season).

So ITA you better grab your convention rate ASAP :goodvibes

That is a great deal! We stayed at BC last july(week after the 4th as well) and were lucky enough to receive a free dining pin but I think your rate is way better and almost like getting free dining and a room discount!

I don't believe free dining has ever been offered during the month of July. Just FYI rack rate for your dates at Beach Club in a standard room are $390 for weekday and $430 for weekends!

It's a WAY better deal then free dining! It's over 55% off rack rate! In my experience you aren't able to add the dining plan with conference rate. That's OK, you are still coming out ahead! You can't even stay at Caribbean Beach for that rate!

Have a great time and enjoy the splurge!

There has never been, nor I doubt will there ever be, a general public Free Dining discount in July. FD was created to fill the resorts during slow/value weeks - that doesn't apply to July.

Remember to check the website of the conference organization for which you are attending. Usually, you can get reduced priced tickets for Disney to use while you are at your conference. They are less expensive then Undercover Tourist. Also you will have a larger variety including after 2pm tickets, after 4pm tickets as well as all day tickets.

Wow! That is an awesome rate. You will be saving more than the price of the dining plan per night. Lucky you! Somehow I got a free dining pin in my email for July two years ago and for June last year. I think I definitely got lucky with those. When Disney throws a little magic your way, take it!

I'll be at a convention at the Dolphin at the same time...first week in July. We are being offered S&D at $159.....I would kill for BC at $169 I could never afford it other wise. BC is my dream resort....you are very lucky.

As others have said, I'd grab BC for that rate for sure. I haven't seen it that low in I don't know how many years. As a side note, what conference is reserving at BC? We have friends going to disney during that time frame and they have been offered CR but were hoping for an Epcot resort.

It is a MCE continuing education conference. We decided to book it. My work will pay for 4 nights and they said that Disney will allow us to add on 4 additional nights at the $169 rate. All of you make sense in that it is probably as good of deal as free dining. Add in that my work is paying for 4 nights, we decided we could not beat it! Thanks for all of the great feedback.

Hi to you as well! We are about 3 hours directly west of you. We occasionally fly out of Wichita but have done Kansas City and Branson as well. Wichita is our favorite due to the location! Thanks for the offer of help. I will let you know if I have any questions.
