should we go nov 8th-15th or nov 15th-22nd

super soap weekend is the 8th-10th and jersey week is nov 13th-14th. please help me decide. i do not want to go when it's too crowded,since it's our first time at wdw.

We are going the 16- 21 and thought that Jersey week was the first of the month? Please let me know, I really don't want to be there for Jersey week again since we really like to take advantage of a less crowded parks. (No offense to those from Jersey mind you).

I was told that Jersey Week is the 1st week of November, but that it may be extended to the 11th this year because of Veteran's Day. I made my reservations months ago for the 8th - 15th, and I ain't changin' 'em now! I hope it's not too crowded...

NJ's teacher conventions this year are Nov 6 - 8. So, if you're going to WDW anytime between Nov 1 - Nov 11, you'll probably see a lot of people from NJ. All NJ public schools will have Nov 6 and 7 off, and most also have Nov 11 off. So, that corresponds to a VERY long weekend for escape, with only one day off school. Some discticts also give off Nov 4 off due to it being election day. Other districts have the entire week off. In my district, the first three days of the week, are half days, and they are off for the last two. They also have Nov 11th off. We are going away that week, but not to WDW. Most people I know, are planning a trip to WDW that week.

I'd go with the later timeframe. We were there last year from 11/2-11/10 and it was CROWDED. I'm talking 20 minutes to get on Small World (gives you an idea as to how the other lines were if people were actually willing to wait 20 minutes to ride Small World!). Between NJ week, Veteran's Day, and Super Soap, there's a big crowd. I think you'll be happier later in the month.

We chose 11/15-11/22 becuase it seemed like the only week in November that nothing was going on. The only problem I see with this week is airfare seems to be higher on the return flight because it is the week of Thanksgiving.

jel0511 is correct about the dates for Jersey week. So, if I were you, I'd definitely go for the 15th - 22nd.

it looks like the 15th-22nd is the best choice. since the ftp pkg is only extended till the 20th. will i still be able to book it for these dates? it seems like there is too much going on in the first week and it will be busy. jel0511 is correct about the dates for jersey week. sorry i had read the 13th and 14th from another thread.

We changed existing ressies for WL Nov15-22 to the FTP. You just have to have checked in by Nov 20. Have a great trip! Kim

I was there last year during Jersey week and didn't find it bad at all.

I have been during Jersey week twice and am going again this year. The only crowded day either time was MK on Sat. but that is to be expected, with the parades etc. We still had a great time.

We're going 11/15-22 to avoid "Jersey Week." We were there last year during that time and it was horrible. People saying that there were no crowds last year must be used to summer crowds. It was definitely crowded when we were there and I'll never make that mistake again!!

Well, guess what? I changed my mind after calling CRO myself and consulting with my DH. By shifting our dates to 11/10 - 11/17, we can book the FTP at the GF, where we were already booked at rack rates, and we save over $1300 on our vacation!

It seems that Jersey week may be extended to 11/11 because it's Veteran's Day, and that is also Super Soap Weekend! By being flexible, I was able to get the 3 rooms we needed (parents and in-laws) and save big $$$.

We have been there the second and third weeks of November and both time the crowds were fine. This year we are going 11/5 - 11/12. I would say any time in November is good.

dennisnlisab96, what was the weather like the 2 times you went in November? I'm curious about it being too cool for the pools. We went the 3rd week of October last year and it was so hot and humid!

The weather was picture perfect last year for us. High 70's low 80's during the day and usually in the high 60's at night. There was just one night when we were really glad we had our sweatshirts with us. Plenty of people out at the pools (we are not pool people) enjoying the sun and the water. My neice and nephew even went swimming a couple of times in the evening, (they live in Florida and will not go swimming if it is too cold) and they were perfectly happy! I am so looking forward to going this time of year, as I am sure some of the Christmas decorations will be up and the weather will be beautiful!! Counting down the days...... and I will be looking for those Lime Green Ribbons and Mickey Heads!!!

Jersey week can be anytime from the Nov 1st to Nov 16th. We have off the 6,7,8,9,10 and 11th. I know some people are going the first week when we have the 6,7,8,9th off We are going the 7th to the 16th to enjoy the extra days off. The first time we ever went to disney in 1999 we went from Nov 14th to the 22nd it was uncrowded and we had the best time.

It think WDW will be a little more crowded every week in Nov just because the FTP was extended. You can book the 20th to the 27th you only have to arrive on the last day the package is offered to get the FTP. However, thanksgiving week is very crowded.

I sure hate to rain on anyones parade going 11/5-12, but not only do you get Jersey week but you get the double whammie with Verterans' Day too. If you like crowds, you'll have a great time. If not, you might want to change dates.
