Checking everything a million times and wondering....is it worth it for DH to get an AP???

1. We are going to WDW with my family for 7 days in June/July. If AP rates come out and we go from our AAA rate at POFQ to AKL, based on $100 off for Deluxe which is an estimate, we are saving more money on 3 rooms than original plans. BUT will the rates come out AND will they be as good as $100 off a night????

2. DH is going to WDW for 3 days for the Inline race next month, plus the 7 days in June/July, plus...with an AP we would certainly consider a short 3-4 day trip over our 5 year anniversary (spent honeymoon at WDW) the first week of August. If we went for our anniversarym we would certainly want to splurge and go to AKL or another Deluxe.

And if he doesn't use his AP until April or even June (since 3 days in April will be busy at race and race expo) we can extend it into next years visits.

I know you're not supposed to get an AP just to get good resort rates, but it would actually pay off for us this year if they keep offering AP rates.

PLUS...is it true that you don't have to have an actual or activated AP to book the room if the rates come out...you just have to then present your AP upon arrival???

Any suggestions or thoughts on our situation????? Thanks! :sunny:

If you are going to be spending more than 10 days at WDW during the next year then the AP is definately worth the money. You don't need to have the pass when calling for reservations but you do need to have the AP when you check in. Why not buy one AP so you can get the room rate especially since your dh will be going to DW for business. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Bumping to see if this gets more bites!
