We are just your regular buffet lovers. Love the usual fare ;)
I have DS15 and DD12. Is it worth a TS credit? I am thinking, CM, Askershus, H&V, GG, CP.

boma was heaven on earth for me, but then i'm a vegetarian...
although my mom and sister also loved it and they're carnivores..
but they do like salad...

but getting back to me, it was paradise....
the only problem- i could have used a second stomach.....
just no room to enjoy all that yummy food...

Yes:cool1:

We love Boma and go every trip. My boss just returned from Disney and said Boma was the best meal of his trip.

Looking forward to checking out Boma again after several trips not going. We will be there with friends and it will be their 1st time there, so hoping it will be good.

I think it is worth it if you can get to the buffet. The night we went was so crowded that we ended up not eating at the same time. One of us would take the kids up and then return for our food. By the time we got through the line, the kids wanted dessert. Loved the food, but if it is crowded, the waits are really long. If you do decide to do it, try the zebra domes.

NOTE: Boma is a decent buffet, For breakfast, it has
an outstanding variety.
For dinner, above average. It must
be mentioned that African and Middle Eastern foods are
typically spiced with cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom,
etc,m which can make food appear sweet to the taste buds.

We LOVE Boma. DDs are 13 and 16 and this will be our third time eating there. They insisted we make an ADR for this trip. Food has been very good and even though I'm VERY picky, I've always found plenty to eat.

That's good to know. I'm not vegetarian, but I could be 80% of the time, I think, just a natural attraction to veggies, I guess. I had it on the list, then off, then back on. So I guess I'll keep it!

Our family's favourite buffet anywhere. The only one my wife insists on going to. She is from South Africa originally and thinks the food is very authentic.

When we switched to the FD promotion I decided to use one of our TS credits for Boma :) It was either of the 2 on property at AKL but I went with Boma because we have a 20 mo old and it is just a little more cost effective to not have to worry about getting her a meal or not.

try everything.....some things might not be to your liking, while other things will be...

each cart has multiple dishes on it....there were 3 or 4 different salad carts, each with 4 salads to choose from...

some of them aren't vegetarian, so i had to know which was which, but that shouldn't matter to you...

in any case, when you first go up, take a little bit of everything to try...
and then you can go back and get more of the things you like..
which in my case was everything... :goodvibes
i ate so much salad i didn't really have any room for the hot food...
which was unfortunate, as when i finally tried it, it was super yummy....that's when my stomach started to hurt....

i had no room for dessert at all, so i can't tell you if they were good or bad.. :goodvibes

It's one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. A must do for my family.

Let your server know that you are a vegetarian. Our DD was given a personal tour of the entire buffet table by one of the chefs, letting her know which would be appropriate for her.

We go to Disney at least 4 times a year, and always stay deluxe. We actually will drive to AKL (a trek from most resorts) for Boma. granted, wife is a vegetarian, but it's definitely the best all around buffet on site.

Be warned, though, you won't find typical fare. it's definitely a bit on the adventurous side. We've been there many times and heard many people with more "traditional" palates (see burgers, fries, chicken pizza, et al..) make less than favorable comments.

If you want a more traditional buffet, Cape may Cafe is another great choice.

We dined here for the first time in March. Now everytime I'm talking about our ADRs for the next trips (we're DVC, and have several planned) DD 11 is nagging me: Are we going to Boma this time?

The foods are great, but the fish/roast chicken/meat options would appeal to the pickiest of palates. We loved the Mediterranean salads - lentils, couscous, great flavour combinations. And of course as PPs have mentioned, the desserts were fabulous.

Thank goodness it was a long walk back to Kidani. We needed the exercise!

Husband and I ate at Boma for breakfast one morning, and loved it! The variety is wonderful, the coffee is amazing.... Mmm.... :)
