Should we call CRO about a price difference for our upcoming reservations?

On a side note, I didn't realize you could view your reservation on line, unless you booked it that way. Is that something new?
We have been able to look up our reservations online for a few years now. In the past when we had trouble getting our confirmations mailed to us and when they did not send them by e-mail, they said create a profile on the Disney World website and you will be able to view your reservations, no matter if you made them by phone or online threw their website.

Sounds to me like you are having sour grapes because you aren't getting away with not having to pay for the extra person.
If you read what I said in the past we have not been trying to get away with anything. We always tell the Cast Members what my age is when making the reservation and they were the ones who never applied this extra fee. In fact I posted earlier that our confirmations list 3 adults and does not mention the extra charge for a 3rd adult. So the way we see things we should be paying what the price is on the confirmations that we have been e-mailed and mailed to our house.

I think you should relax and what and see what Disney has to say when your father calls. Have them explain what you are being charged for.

If they tell him the extra fee is correct then we will accept their decision. If it is I still think they should have e-mailed us new confirmations with the correct rate per night because like I said before if I never saw this on their website when looking up our reservations, we would have assumed there would be no increase in our room rate since we had our confirmations.

But keep in mind that they can change your reservation right up till the time you check in.

Again on the form you have on there they aren't required to send you new confirmations and it states rates are subject to change. SO while YOU may have liked one they Don't HAVE to send you one.

Call Disney i'm sure they will clarify your reservations with what the total you owe is.

I understand that WDW does not have to send us new confirmations. I just wish that in a case where the rates change after getting our confirmations, that WDW should do the right thing for their customers and let them know about that.

well once you clarify with them the rate over the phone if the rate online is correct then in reality they did post it online for you to see.

Again i would call Disney i'm wondering again why you haven't done so yet?

Not trying to be rude, but if you didn't want to hear people's rational, logical reasoning to your question, then why did you post it?

Obviously you are going to call reservations directly to get the situation resolved one way or the other, so why not just let everyone know what the outcome is when that is done?

If a mistake was made (which I don't think there was) I'm sure they'll take care of it.

Good luck with it!

You keep insisting that the rate has changed, but you are solely focused on the per night rate that is being displayed. I will ask you again, has the actual total changed or is there simply a change in the way the per night rate is being displayed? Perhaps you are so focused on the per night rate that you have simply failed to realize that the total reservation price has not changed?

I am going to say this for the last time of what I know.

The confirmations we already got e-mailed and mailed to our house have the price listed that was told by the CM from CRO when we made the reservations.

When I look at the reservations online they list a different price per night, then what is said on our original confirmations. After reading all your responses a few times I am sure what you all said is correct about the $25.00 increase.

Basically if WDW told us there would be an increase in our rate then we would have accepted it and there would be no need for this thread. I know everyone has said they can do this which I get. However I will say again if I never looked by accident on their site to see our reservations, we would have assumed the rates would not have changed. That is because according to LivingtheWDWdream, they are not required to send out new confirmations.

We were booked at CBR last year when something changed on our package - can't remember if it was tax increase or a raise in ticket prices. We did have to pay the additional amount, and were never sent a new confirmation or any documentation at all reflecting the change. I just happened to see the price change when I checked it online.

And I was charged the $25/night fee for a third adult on our Poly reservation. It was included in the online quote as well as the confirmations.

I just went to look at both my families confirmations and at the top where it lists all our names, it says (AD) beside each of them which stands for adults. So they knew there were 3 adults on the reservations and that is proof they knew that when they did not charge us the extra $ per night.

Guests 10-18 pay adult prices for the meal plan and tickets but don't pay the charge for more then 2 adults in the room. I'm not sure what the AD on your reservation refers to.

You can either be annoyed that Disney seems to have picked up their error and you might be paying more this trip or you can be happy that you were lucky enough not to be charged the extra fee in the past.

Some DIS don't feel that charge is justified but it's particularly justified for CL guests.

edited to say I just re-read your title for this thread. I'd probably wait until check in and show my original confirmation. I'll speculate the CM at the front desk may be more willing to make an exception. Call now and Disney has an opportunity to explain the policy to you.

For fun I decided to look up my families reservations for the Contemporary and Polynesian and I saw some thing that did not seem right. It had all the days we are to stay at both Resorts and for the Contemporary the rate they showed per night was different then what our confirmation says. I should also mention that it says a different rate for the Polynesian, then what our confirmation says. For both reservations there is difference of $25.00 more per night that is listed on the Walt Disney World website. Finally we were never e-mailed or mailed new confirmations with the new prices, so I am wondering is this a mistake by WDW?

To be honest, I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Bring your confirmation sheet (the one you got in the mail) when you check in. If they charge you more at check-in, simply show them the confirmation sheet. If they still insist on charging you the extra $25/night (which I think they are entitled to), then just be glad you got away with not having to pay the rate in years past. I mean, if you're staying at concierge in a duluxe, obviously the extra $25/night is not going to make or break your vacation. Perhaps you could volunteer to pay it yourself, since your parents I imagine are footing the bill for everything else.;)

I am fairly confident that in reality there has been NO change in the rates and that the OP's family has been charged the additional adult fee on previous stays (when applicable, remember some room categories DO NOT charge the additional adult fee). The OP continuously rejects suggestions to compare the total reservation prices on his original reservations versus what he is seeing online and is instead obsessing over the listed per night rate. It has already been explained that a systems upgrade at Disney resulted in a change in the way the per night rate appears on room only reservations and the more recent upgrade this weekend has changed the way the per night rates are displayed yet again. Thus, reservations booked prior to October 2006 would show the per night price with any additional adult fees already included which would explain why the OP doesn't think they were charged an additional adult fee in previous stays. If the OP made his reservation after October 18, 2006, the per night rate would NOT have reflected the additional adult fee; however, the total reservation price WOULD have INCLUDED the additional adult fee. Now, after the system change at Disney that took effect on the 23rd of this month, the per night rate displays as $25 more to reflect the additional adult fee BUT the total reservation price most likely matches the total reservation price on his paper confirmation.

That is absolutely correct and the best explaination I have seen yet! good Job!

Well, have you called yet??? I really would like to know the outcome.
