Should we bother with Disneyquest??

DD8 and I will be at WDW October 18-25th. We have never been to Disneyquest and was wondering if we should.

We have the UPH this time and I feel like I could work in a few hours maybe on Thursday evening or Friday afternoon.....if someone thinks it's worth the trip.

She likes video games to an extent, but she doesn't sit around all day playing them or waiting anxiously for the new version of "whatever" to come out. Since we'll be using WDW transportation I didn't want to waste an afternoon on something we wouldn't enjoy.

She won't care either way as she doesn't even know it exists so....anyone with any advice??

My sister and I are both 28 and we love Disneyquest. On our last trip we travelled with a co-worker and her three boys (6,8,9) and we all had a blast. There is lots to do and I don't think that you would be bored. If you have a UHP and a free evening, I'd say go for it!

Since you have an UPH I would stop by and give it a try. DH and I liked it and so did our 2 oldest. We didnt spend a lot of time there because our 2 little ones were 2.5 and 5 months and you cannot take strollers in there. They have some cool virtual reality attractions like POTC--that was a blast.

We spend one day every trip at DQ! It's really cool! There is a ton to do and the video games are FREE! lol
I definately say you should do it...I would suggest going in the morning b/c we always go from opening until around 6 or 7...and when we leave the crowds are getting bigger. An afternoon visit would be great...I bet yall would have a good time!

the testosterone quotient is pretty high in DQ--my DS could spend his whole vacation there; my DD (now 7) is much more interested in the virgin megastore down the block.

It's a terrific area with lots to do and see, so I'd give it a try. I personally love DQ, because it gives me hours to play the only video game I ever learned, GALAGA, which I got really good at so I could beat the socks off the males in my JR HI Youth group so they would respect me.

but I wouldn't give up a day in Magic Kingdom or Epcot for it

I LOVE this place! Last year was our first time going to DQ,I swear,I played every machine in the place!! Its a great place to spend an afternoon!!

Since it's included in your UPH, then I suggest to try it at least once. There are some really neat things there, and no doubt you will find something that interests you. However, like mentioned above, I wouldn't short yourself park time for it

DH and I really enjoyed Disney Quest, but I believe I will sit out the roller coaster simulator this time. While it was fun when we did it, afterwards I was too nauseated to enjoyed anything else - and this was one of the first rides we did, so while I enjoyed the things they had to offer, I am sure it would have been better if I would have been 100%.

how much is it if you don't have a UPH? My daughter would love this, but I don't want to pay a fortune.

Our family really enjoys DQ, there is something for everyone. Since you have UPH, I would encourage you and DD to experience it.. I bet your DD would enjoy aladin along with the other VR attractions, and designing a roller coaster and riding it!

My DD was almost 6 the first time we went to DQ. She loved it and wants to go back everytime we go to WDW. Works for me

I think my DD was 8 the first time she went to DQ. She liked the VR stuff OK, but she LOVED the Creation area. This has computers that let you take a pic of yourself and play around with it, design your own Disney scene, create a music CD, and an area where you can learn to draw Disney characters. She would have spent the whole time in just that room. There's also some things that don't seem like computer games. For instance, a simulated raft ride where you actually row and get a little wet, a pirate game where you're actually inside a small ship and you shoot cannons at other ships around you, a huge bumper car type ride where you shoot big nerf balls at other cars, and several more along these lines. I'm not that fond of DQ, too noisy for me, but kids love it. Although, that Pirate adventure is pretty fun. Diana

Gregg, if you haven't already, you ought to sign up for the mousesavers e-newsletter at www.mousesavers.com. It comes out the 15th of every month, and for the past couple of months, TicketMania has offered subscribers adult DQ tickets for $21. You do have to be a subsriber to get that deal, but you sure can't beat that offer!

I plan to give my granddaughter several tickets for her Nov. birthday, so she can take whoever she wants to DQ with her when we're there in December. She went about a year ago and loved it!
