I just realized I am going to WDW during a Star Wars Weekend, will
MGM be packed?? :earseek:
thanks

wanting to plan accordingly.

It's not bad at all! It does get crowded near Star Tours because that's where the majority of things happen. I wouldn't worry to much about it. :wave2:

I was there last May during Star Wars Weekend...I have to say..MGM was more crowded that weekend then the rest of the week. Not horrible...but then again I have been in the summer & Christmas week. Use Fast Pass!

It was pretty wild seeing Storm Troopers walking around the park. :teeth:
Enjoy~ :flower:

We were at MGM a couple years ago during Star Wars Weekend. We are not big Star Wars fans but went to the park anyway. The kids had fun. They did recognize some of the characters and my daughter was a Jedi in training. We watch the parade and took some pictures with Star Wars characters. We also enjoyed watching the people who are obvious huge fans.

They have some fun activities even if you're not a big Star Wars fan. I agree with the poster above, the crowds are not that bad - except around Star Tours.

We went during a Star Wars weekend and it wasn't bad at all! Not nearly as crowded as I thought it would be. It was actually really cool. We saw Chewbacca, a couple Storm Troopers and an Ewok which we took a picture with. I'm not a die hard SW fan but my dad has the trilogy so I know enough to tell who's who. It was fun. But yeah, just use Fast Pass and you'll be good to go :cool1:

We were at MGM this past Fri. for ESPN weekend and the park was somewhat crowded, but it wasn't crazy and we were able to go on the rides that we wanted to without problem. Just past RockNRoller Coaster there was a parking lot area opened with exhibits and games to play and there were a lot of people there, and the other events were spread around the park so I think the crowds were dispersed. If they do somethng similar like this for Star Wars Weekend, it may not be bad.

I agree also, the parks aren't *that* much more busy. I'm not that big a fan of SW (More of a Star Trek maniac) but it was all good to see.

Loved seeing the Stormtroopers walking abouve the turnstiles as we waited to enter the park, quite creepy!

Paul.

We were there last May fow SWW and I did not find it crowded. We walked on TOT and RnR first thing in the morning and were able to ride TOT a few times with no line at all RnR had a 20 minute wait a couple of hours after park opened so not bad either. It was neat to see all of the characters walking around and there were lots of activities for everyone to participate in. It was crowded around Star Tours but we went to the ride and only waited 10 minutes in the stand-by line so even that was not bad. I would recommend anyone do MGM on SWW if it is going on while you are there. :sunny:

It's not too bad at all. If anything the non-SWW attractions may be slightly emptier
