We are going to be at us aug 15-18th and I am trying to decide weather to wait and buy the express pass when we arrive or should I buy them now. Does any one know if the sell out much in the Summer. Also my brother was going to buy these for me is that possible or does it have to be the person using it. He will be there with me so he can show his credit card. I was just wondering about the name on the express pass.

You won't need to buy the pass ahead of time. Wait until you have been in the park for a bit and can decide if it is worth it.

Many schools in the states will either be back to school or will be going back around that time. My kids go back August 17th. So you may not need it as the parks may not be too busy.

We were there during that time in 2007. While it was a bit slower than the previous week a lot of people from the Northeast vacation during that time as our schools don't start back until after Labor Day. If you get there for park opening you should be able to do a lot in the first 2 hours with little to no wait time. If you like to sleep in and get the parks late, the lines will be longer. I would still wait until you get there to see if you need the express passes.

thanks for your quick response so you don't think they would sell out? That's my main concern because we are going with another family and they will have FOTL access. Again thanks

Just keep in mind that the Express Pass is only good for one trip per ride through the Express line while on-site guests have unlimited Express line access. When we were there in April all of the employees at the Express Pass line were scanning in the Express Pass tickets so they couldn't be used for that ride again. There is a VIP express pass which gives you unlimited express line access that runs about $160/pp for the one day, $240/pp for the 2 day or $260/pp for the 7 day. You have to buy it on-line ahead of time as its not available at the gate.

unfortunately I found this out too late I have already bought my ticket the 7 day for 99. I wish I had known this cause that would have been the way to go. thanks anyway.
