We've used a TA for almost all of our Disney cruises. There are no discounts on Disney cruises for the most part, unless the TA takes it out of their pocket, but they do offer OBC. The only "down" side (which I don't find a problem) is that you cannot have hands on changes to your reservation. Any changes, additions, special notes or payments must all go through the TA. But my TA is hands on and I never wait more than 24-hours to get a confirmation it's been done or a new confirmation of payment. And yes, if there are problems they are a good mediator for getting it done or fixed.
