Should I switch from AP to GA discount?

I have an AP discount at PC for $59 in two weeks. Now there is a GA discount out for the same price. I bought our APs online and used the will call option so we were going to go to DTD first to pick up our passes before riding over to PC to check in.
Now I'm wondering if it is the same price if I should see if they will switch the code over keeping our ressie intact so that we can just activate our APs the next morning when we go to the parks. We will be driving down from Atlanta that day with two younger kids so I'm not sure if that extra step going over to DTD will be a hassle or not? I was thinking the wait wouldn't be long there? Thoughts? We have to drive over to BWV the next morning to check in there and then we wanted to hit Star Wars Weekend at MGM. Would the line be long at guest services there to activate?

Thanks!

It might not be available for your dates at your resort. Change nothing until you are sure.

Mercy: Georgia resident discount. Proof of residency required.

I was able to switch from room only code to the GA resident code this morning. I was able to save about $160 on the room cost for 7 nights. I'm very pleased!!

I wouldnt change your reservations at all, keep the ap rate especially since its the same. When I checked in with my ap last week they didnt even ask to see my AP pass at all.

If you already have your AP you are in the computer system as having one, therefore no need to ask about it.

However that would not be the case for someone that has not purchased theirs.

I bought them online the day before the price increase, but they are not activated yet. I have to go to a guest services (will call) to do this. Do you think I'd need to do this before I can check into PC the evening we arrive then?

What is the time period this discount is available?
Thanks!

There have been different answers to this question and not sure which is right. Some say that they don't return to the available pool of rooms.

If you printed the receipt, I wonder if showing that to the CM at the hotel would be good enough? Also on another thread someone said that you have 24 hours to show your AP. You would think this kind of thing would happen often. Maybe a call to the resort you are staying at would help.

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

I too would like to know the answer to this. I would gladly change to the GA rate if I knew it would benefit someone else. ::yes::
