Should I squeeze Boma in or not?

I would definitely recommend you try Boma at least once. The food is very different from what we normally eat but I like the overdose of spices they use.

I love Boma and generally do not like food served in buffets. I have eaten at Boma 10-15 times but do not recall the carved beef to be coated in cinnamon - perhaps I missed it. The carved beef as I recall is pretty standard but is enhanced by the different sauces like the Boma mustard and several other sauces that are optional. I have found the food to be prepared well and just a different quality than most buffets.

Boma is our favourite buffet at WDW and AKL is a beautiful resort and well worth a visit. That said, we always rent a car so it is easy to get there for us.

Personally, we really love Boma. It is a must do for us. There is a kids section where they can get the standard kids buffet fare. When my DS was younger he had allergies to all dairy and eggs (which was very hard on us because surprisingly enough even vegan products often contain milk bi products) the chef was so wonderful, they came out and spoke with us then insisted on preparing something special for my DS to avoid cross contamination!

I enjoy Boma and we often enjoy it so much we end up making a second reservation while there. If anything you will be able to cross it off the list but I do highly recommend it!!

Boma is my favorite restaurant anywhere hands down.

With that bias aside, I also recommend going for resort. The last night we were there, my kids participated in resort activities with two guys from an African country I can't remember. We did the night vision goggle activity. My DS talked world cup soccer with a CM from South Africa and CM's from other countries I also can't remember :goodvibes. We also shopped in the store and sat in the lobby soaking up the atmosphere. For us, its worth it.

On the other hand, you need to make your trip stress free and not too busy. You're paying for a good time - so its only worth it if you'll still have enough down time to make your trip a success!

I vote yes! Boma is one of my very favorite restaurants at WDW, along with Kona Cafe and Crystal Palace (first ever character experience...so magical and simply a classic :wizard:) Anyways, Boma has great food at both breakfast and dinner with so many cool new things to try...like ZEBRA DOMES :cloud9: uh...YUM! Definitely try it, you won't be disappointed. :)

Thanks for all of the great responses.:goodvibes I think we will give it a try; we always like trying something new on every trip.

Boma is on our "must do" list as well. While we enjoy trying new restaurants every visit, Boma is one we are not willing to give up! :thumbsup2 We love the resort too!

Another Yes vote! We loved Boma on our last trip! Probably our favorite meal. I have a picky daughter and she found things that she liked there. You have to try it at least once. Seeing the AKL is a definite too!! It is very beautiful!!

On our 5th trip to the world, we finally decided to give Boma a try with some reservations. My DW was sceptical and didn't think there would be many items she would like, but it turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip. There were several items that we loved, a few we liked, and a few we didn't. We did find that there were several choices with a variety of flavors. We didn't think the items were too sweet. I am sure if you go, you will find things that you will like, I know we did and therefore we are going again on our next trip.
