Should I request a view/section at BCV in July? Are there BAD views/sections?

We will be there in late July for 5 nights and I was wondering if there were areas that are popular or not so popular? Should we request a certain floor or section/view? Thanks.

I think it's always good for request at least something. If not I think you end up with whats left over from others requesting stuff when the Planners take over.


Our June trip we had a 1st fl right at the canal that was just a great location.

I also beleive then while some are better then others I have never had a room bad enough for me not to enjoy ourselves.

With DW smoking and the New DSAs I have been requesting lower floors and close to the DSAs to make it easier on her.

You can make all the requests you want but they tell you nothing is guaranteed.

There are basically 3 views. Backside that looks up at the back of Epcot . Top floors you can see some of the fireworks and all but the is the road that separates the 2 areas.

Pool view that goes along the pool area all the way to the parking lot some of this is looking down the canal towards the bus stops.

Courtyardview This is looking into the courtyard where the Little Mermaid statue with DVC is. Some of this looks across to the Valet parking carport area

Then the floors are of course higher up the more you see.

Yes you are 100% correct on this unless the View is a catagory ( Boardwalk, Savana).

They are Boardwalk catagories and I think the OP is talking Beach club and they only have one catagory so everything is just a request.



Oh and I have been just E-mailing through the Members sight all my request and have had no problems with them noting them. With the Hold times lately that seems like the best way to go.

You can always ask if any other room is ready and have them switch it if possible. We did this for our BCV but the CM suggested we keep the room assigned as it was a great location so we did.

Hmm. The floor-plan for the Dedicated 2-BR in that link shows 1 bed and 1 pull-out couch in the 2nd bedroom. I always thought the dedicated 2-BR units had 2 actual beds?

From my experience, any requests at BCV don't mean squat unless you're arriving in the morning. I book at 11 months and request top floor...garden view. I show up at 4 (repeatedly) and nothing is left but 1st floor....then when pressed they "find" an upper floor way down the end of a hallway somewhere.

Next time I'll be calling them that morning to try to ensure I get what I asked for 11 months ago!
