Should I pick up a little something special for my son

Tonight is his Pre-K "Frosty The Snowman" play. They have been working on it so hard for 2 months. It was supposed to be live, but some of the children were a little shy so they video taped it and someone donated a 50 inch big screen TV so we can all watch it tonight. It was supposed to be last Wed but postponed for bad weather. Then afterward they are having a little party.

I was thinking maybe a couple of balloons or something? Like I said these kids and the teachers have been working so hard with the lines and song and costumes we are just so excited for all of them. I thought maybe having them for him when we got home after the show this way no one would get upset in his class.

Is that a silly idea? Or any suggestions on something besides balloons?

Not silly at all! I think it is such a great idea.

I would get him something that would remind him of the event. Perhaps a stuffed "snowman" would do that.

Those school shows are the best. I think getting him something is a great idea. Balloons are a big hit in our house so I'd go with that idea.

As an aside, you may want to see if the school could make copies of the video for parents. They could even do it as a fund raiser. We taped DD's holiday concert and she loves watching it and so do we.

I've also seen candy-bar bouquets. You buy a variety of candy and attatch them to picks that you can buy at Michaels. Then stick them all into foam in a gift bag. Cover the top of the foam with some paper shreds. They look really cute and might be easier to take than balloons.
