Should I even bother going?

I have been to WDW more times than I can count now, but I have never been during one of its busiest times. December is my favorite month, October was a bit crowded and early March wasn't too bad for a one day trip.

This year my children are in school and we are headed down to see the grands during their spring break. The week before Easter. I originally said we weren't going to go to the parks at all while we were their. But it is breaking my heart to be so close and not go even one day.

My question is this, should I go? Would I hate it? Are the crowds bearable for just one day at one park? What can I expect? I was thinking maybe AK would be better than MK. And, Tues. would be better than Fri., but I just don't know. Maybe even Sea World this trip might be better since you don't have to wait in line to see the shows.

Help!

Thanks:)

I think the days you picked for the parks are real good. Don't sweat it. We'll be there w/ crowds the week after Easter. It'll be our 1st time going on a busy week, but you know how it is, the kids get a little older and it gets harder to take them out of school. Since were staying on site, we plan to get to the parks early, do what we can-not pushing the kids too hard, then go back to the hotel for swim, nap, lunch, etc. I was real worried in the beginning planning stages, but, hey, whatta ya gonna do, this is when we will have our only opportunity to go to WDW this year, I'm happy enough knowing that I'm going back. You'll be just fine. Enjoy.

Do you like Epcot? If it were me, and I wanted to pop in for a day and get my WDW fix, I'd go to Epcot as it doesn't get as packed feeling at the others. There would be more for me to do/see at Epcot than AK.

If it is breaking your heart to be so close and not go, this is a symptom of someone who should definitely go. Adjust your expectations of how much you'll get done, and enjoy the experiece of being there:earsboy:

I agree with Micca! We were there at Christmas and missed one day due to shopping and then a child with a fever and I missed that! Go early and again adjust expectations! Pixie dust to you!

We went to AK around 3:00 during Easter week and had a blast. Everyone was walking out as we were walking in! Go to a park for opening, stay until it gets crazy, then head to the hotel, and go back to a park in the evening. The only park we noticed that was as crowded at 10 pm as it was at noon was the Magic Kingdom, but even then, there were spots that you could escape to (Tom Sawyer's Island for one). Have a great time!
