Starting to get a little worried that I am not in the Disney system yet. Bought resale, closed on May 1st, TSS said to call them on the 17th. Called the 17th, 18th, 19th and today and no record of me at all except for my 1st DVC. Getting anxious! Thanks!:confused3

Have you checked on the comptroller's website to see if your deed is recorded (assuming you bought on WDW property)? If not, here's a link - http://or.occompt.com/recorder/web/. Look and see what date it was recorded. It then goes to Disney for processing. Hopefully, it will be very soon. I'm waiting, too, but I have no hope of having my new points by the time I need a reservation. I would definitely call. :thumbsup2

I'm further behind than you, but was hoping to get a status as well. I spoke with a person in Member Accounting who said that right now, they are still working on the contracts that came in the first week of May. That means yours should be there any day now! :woohoo: Not so much for me, though! :guilty:

Call your broker and have them check the status.

We closed May 2 and just got the points in the system this week. We were members already, so I don't know if that helped or not.

Thanks! I bought through TSS not directly through Disney. I am also a current owner. I looked on the comptroller's website and we weren't on there. I will get in touch with TSS and have them check into it too.

Thanks everyone! Hope all of our points come through soon!pixiedust:

I don't think that holds true - DVC has it well before it's physically recorded by the county. From what I understand, it's sent to Disney on closing, not on recording.

We closed on a purchase on 4/29 and Member Services had us as of 5/14 (a Saturday morning), but the deed is not yet in the online records for Orange County as of 2:45 am 5/21.

The contract we sold closed on 3/31, my member number was out of the DVC system by the middle of the next week, but it wasn't actually recorded by the county until 4/25.

Ouch!! Keep checking. We closed on the 29th and turned up in the system last Saturday, the 14th.

I was told that the people who input the information work Mon-Fri, so be sure to check this weekend.

Good luck!!!

I don't think that holds true - we're in the DVC system, but weren't showing up in the county database the last time I looked. (It's closed for maintenance right now.)

Filing with the County is the last thing that is done and it might be weeks after you are loaded into the Disney system.

Thanks for the info, guys. Was going on what broker told me, which was obviously not correct. Fortunately, our contract closed and was filed with the city within a day or two of closing. Not that it matters, but at least it's out there!

Still waiting for my points, though, and sounds like it will be at least a week or two more. I had to make a reservation this morning and borrow points from my 2012 UY, even though my 3 new contracts have 2010 points. Oh well, tis life! :goodvibes

Filing with the County Recorder isn't a priority for Disney or the County so I am surprised that they did it so fast. The filing is just a legal requirement and it doesn't affect your membership. Maybe they should take the CM who is doing the County filings and have them work on member accounts and adding your points! :thumbsup2

Have you had MS search by your name or SSN to make sure that Disney didn't open a new member account for you by mistake? That's what happened to us with our last direct purchase.

:lmao: AMEN!!! They're killin' me, man! This time around has been a really long, drawn out process. :laundy:

Ugh! Hadn't thought of that. Since we purchased the same UY, I just assumed Disney would add the points to my existing member ID? If I don't see them in the next week or so, I'll definitely ask. Hopefully, if this does happen, they can correct it! Had two member IDs and am trying to get away from that! :thumbsup2

Spring break is a very busy time for direct sales so I have been told that stretches things out some this time of year.

:cool1: Finally in the system!!! It did take 22 days from when we closed so hang in there everyone!!

Made a reservation already!!!!:cool1:

Congrats! The waiting is over!! We just passed ROFR today, so we are hoping the closing goes quickly so we can get into the system to plan a trip for next summer!!

We're new members and just bought on our Disney cruise last week (June 7th-14th). Is it normal that our closing date would be July 13th? I am in the DVC system because I called, got my activation code, and can log in online. However, no points show up for me. I'm not too concerned (although I have to bank the points that were given to us as part of the promotion by July 31st), but I just wondered if it was normal for the actual closing to take that long? Didn't mean to jump in on this thread but as I was reading it, I was hoping some of you could answer my question as well. TIA.:goodvibes

Closing is a legal formality and has nothing to do with getting your points or your ability to make a reservation. Accounts are set up first and within a couple of days, your points and contract will be added to your account.
