so anyway our last trip was this past may and wow the weather was great-90's, dry, and pretty much all we wore was shorts. i packed other items like skirts, capris but really they did not get much use. it was hot. so we are returning in late august and i plan on shorts for most of the trip. i did however in the evenings wear a skirt and cami, for our dinner adrs, also found a need for xtra swimsuits as we swam afternoons and late evenings and nothing is worse than putting on a wet suit in a/c!! i did see lots of guests in the world that had on long pants and lots of women who were in black bottoms and black t shirts, i wondered if that was a bit too hot? everytime i saw someone in jeans or pants it made me wonder if they packed incorrectly. just an observation.

I was there in May also. The only things we wore were shorts and t-shirts.
Everytime I saw someone in pants it made me hot and I thought -if you ran out of shorts, go wash some there are laundry rooms here, why suffer! :confused3

Judging by the looks of some people's legs in shorts, you should be thanking those who chose to wear pants, :rolleyes1

If you're looking at not so attractive legs then your missing out on a lot of great attractions and other sights at WDW!
Dress for comfort, not to impress.

Thanks! Being from the north I always seem to pack a pair of pants because the nights up here can get cool in the evenings. It is a hard habit to break when traveling to Florida. This time I will only pack shorts for us.

It might not be very nice but that does not mean it isn't funny :thumbsup2 By the way, I have perfect legs.

Some people, like me, aren't big fans of shorts. I have a nice figure complete with good legs (or so I've been told) but I personally am not a fan of my knees. ;) I'm usually one of those people running around WDW in jeans or capris -- but this year, we're going in August. I couldn't bear the idea of jeans in FL in August! So thank goodness for the long Bermuda shorts that are in style now.. I can be cool and not show anyone my knees! :rotfl: I bought two pairs in linen to be even cooler. Maybe I should go back to Target for more... hmmm...

We will be packing shorts only but I see nothing wrong with wearing pants. People that live in the south are used to the heat thus think nothing of wearing long pants occasionally. Those of us that live up north have a hard time getting used to the heat (although not this spring) so we naturally associate late spring & summer with shorts.

Good legs or not good legs- I don't see why anyone would sweat for their insecurities!

Just be glad you're not the insecure one!

I have rather moderate psoriasis which primarily affects my lower legs. I tend to wear jeans whenever possible, even in the heat, just to avoid the stares and questions I get when people see my legs.

Since we're going in September I've decided to spend this summer exposing my ugly legs to as many sun rays as possible before our trip (yes, this is good for psoriasis) so I can hopefully wear shorts without being questioned nonstop by strangers.

You should wear what makes you comfortable-
it is not a fashion show!
Some people should not judge what others are wearing-
least they be judged themselves!

Nope; still not funny, try again. ha! ha! OOPS! Sorry, that slipped out.

We were also there in May, and wound up only wearing shorts. I didn't wonder why (or even notice) that some people were wearing pants, but did find it odd that people were wearing really high heels at the parks. Oh, and some women had on way too much make-up and teased hair.

Hey, different strokes for different folks.

WDW is **casual**. I guess if you want to goto the clubs in PI or something people dress up.. but t-shirts and shorts (or equiv) are the name of the game.

There is no need to 'get ready' and get done up.. go out and have fun. Its extremely dressed down and no fashion show.
