Shortcuts in the parks?

I read on another forum that there is a shortcut to Test Track by heading out of World Showcase from Mexico and heading to the Pavillion on your right.

This made me wonder what other park shortcuts are there? MK train from Fantasyland to Frontierland might not be shorter in time but would save steps for tired kids.

The Express Bus between parks would be a definite shortcut on saving time.

Are there others? With 10 in our group (4 kids under six YO) we want to be efficient and not tire the kids are with logistics.

If we're in the World Showcase and heading to Epcot we always veer right after Mexico and go along the Odyssey pavilion as it's quicker than walking around.

At MK if we're coming from the entrance to Adventureland or heading to the exit, we always cut through the stores. We rarely walk all the way down Main Street.

Also in MK we walk along the wooden walkway near Tom Sawyer island to avoid the main walkway

If you are in Animal Kingdom, it's shorter to go towards Dinoland and in front of the Nemo Theater to get to Everest than to follow the signs to Everest through Asia.

Which stores do you mean if heading toward the exit? Are you talking about the stores along Main St?

Sometimes we use the wooden walkway too, but since it zigs and zags left/right, we've encountered a group of slow moving people who feel they should walk 5 wide and take up the entire walkway as they navigate the turns.

There are two passages between Adventureland and Frontierland. The one with restrooms is pretty well known, but the one near Aloha Isle is less traveled.

This path is also the smoking section. We usually find it a pleasant stroll but our last visit it was a horrible walk because every ten feet was another smoker.

Yea the stores along Main Street. The Emporium and coming out Caseys Corner

This too. Anytime we go to Tomorrowland or come from it we always go through Tomorrowland Terrace instead of the hub

Yes I experienced that as well.
BUT they ARE in the Smoking Section so I don't feel I have any right to complain. I can go another way, they can not

No I agree, it's where they are supposed to be, but if you are like me and hate the smoking smell, this might not be the shortcut for you.

The app is actually pretty good with it's directions to get somewhere on the fastest route. This has made a lot of the "shortcuts" much more congested with people that never knew you could go a certain way and peopel who really don't know where they are going so they are slower and staring at the map with directions on where to walk.

I think the biggest time saver is when you want to get back by splash and btmr and your coming from the hub/entrance. Dont' walk through adventure land. I've never measured it to know if the wood bridge and walking behind ye old xmas shop is faster than going into adventureland and cutting over through the breezeway at the restrooms that comes out by the little mississippi (look it up, there's a river in the walkway). Of course if opened going past the castle to 1 of the 4 paths on the hub side can be a huge time saver if they are opened at the time you need them.

Hs doesn't really have any except for the "backstage routes" that require a castmember to open them up to go directly to the exit from the theater.

We use this one when going to Tomorrowland at RD.

We also use the "shortcut" from the World Showcase to the western side of Futureworld West. It may not be shorter, it its always less crowded.

It wasn't really a shortcut, but we always went through the Innoventions building on our way to The Land building before they closed it. It was approximately meat locker temperature and felt SO good on hot days. On our way back from The Land, we still walk through the hallway next to the Character Spot on our way to the Club Cool. We also always go through Tomorrowland Terrace on our way out of MK.
