We returned yesterday, the 23rd, from a 6 day trip to Kidani Village. My DW, DNiece (15yo and first trip) and myself stayed in a 1bdr villa.
We arrived at the resort via ME. Waited about 2 minutes before they put us on the bus headed to Caribbean Beach and POP.
A CM named Lisa met us outside Kidani and checked us in while sitting on one of the sofas in the lobby. We had arrived around 11:00 AM and the villa was ready.
I did use the online check-in a few days prior.
Our DNiece had a great time. She loved the fact that she had her own bathroom in the 1bdr. We stayed in room 7933 on the 5th floor overlooking the pool area.
We were at the end of the bead and could see a good bit of the Pembe(?) savanna from the end of the balcony. This was nice considering it is listed as a standard view.
We did all the parks and the Halloween party at MK . I guess we saw Johnny Depp on the pirate float but did not realize it at the time.
DNiece loved RnR coaster and TSM at DHS. She was not as thrilled with ToT. She said the salad and pizza at Via Napoli in Italy at EPCOT was the best she ever had. She also gave a thumbs up to the pizza at Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD.
The 1bdr villa was clean and everything was in working order. The 4 slot toaster worked well for English muffins and pop-tarts in the morning. Each pair of slots has its own controls.
The bus services were hit and miss as usual. I would estimate more hit than miss. Not a problem for this trip.
I was surprised how crowded it was this time of year. It looks like a lot more people are taking advantage of the schools fall break. The Halloween party was packed.
Check-out went without a hitch.
The wireless internet connection at Kidani worked fine the entire trip. My wife used her Ipad2 every night.
We stayed from 10-18 to 10-23. The weather was cooler than average for this time of year. We did wear coats or sweatshirts most nights.
