What new items do you normally buy to take with you? Or do you just wait to get the new things while on your trip?

I haven't cruised yet, but we go to WDW a lot & I have all of my travel items packed away & when I take it out to start packing I go through & make sure I have everything & if I don't we buy it here. If you're talking about toiletries, clothes & stuff like that I would try & buy as much as possible. My bf laughs that I have my "just in case" bag of goodies but I when he got an awful cold & I havd an assortment of remedies he is happy! And last Jan in WDW I had really bad sinus congestion & I WISH I had brought sudafed with me, but I didn't & at the shop at the Boardwalk the sudafed was almost $5 more than it was up here!! AAHH!! If it were me, I'd shop at home as much as possible!!

the one thing i can think of is the over the door hanger, as far as useful things for your cabin room.

Also, i usually by the guys new underware and socks, as it is so much easier to pack these things while they are still new in the package.

Since I travel mainly in the summer...I always get a new bottle of sunscreen. It seems to lose it's consistency and effectiveness if it is too old.

This is always an exspensive item in vacation areas anyway!

Hmm, I always like a new bathing suit and summer sandals too! I often buy another pair or two on vacation, but I like to start off with something shiny and new!

As for meds, I have my own traveling mini pharmacy for at least 24 hours worth of care. I can always get more if I need more!

I was really sorry when I forgot this last time! I bring items for the kids (such as kids tylenol, powdered keopectate, etc) Sinus meds, etc. Everything is either in caplet or powdered form. Very easy to take in a small cosmetic bag!

One shopping tip I got off this board before our cruise was to stop at one of the Disney Character Premiere stores in Orlando for souvenirs. They don't always have DCL merchandise, but we did find a beautiful DCL candle for our neighbor who was housesitting for us. It was only $5, marked down from $18. We also found a few things for our toddler, which we were able to use as distractions during dinner once we were onboard.
