Shopping at the Outlet malls. . .

We will be in Orlando with our two teenage daughters and would love to get some quality bargain shopping in. DH, on the other hand, is patient but none too thrilled to be shopping.
Our shopping trips will therefore be limited and I was wondering what is the best mall to go to?
Any help in utilizing precious shopping time would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Sandra

I like the Premium Outlet Mall off of I-Drive. It is big enough to have a pretty good selection of stores and I find that the stores have a pretty good selection of merchandise. If if have to choose one outlet mall it is always this one. Here's what they've got:

The other possibility is Belz but it is further away (up near Universal Studios) and it is more spread out. It is really many seperate malls in the same area so you could find yourselves wasting a lot of time going from one mall to the next in order to get to your preferred stores. On the plus side though, if your dh is at all interested in the outdoors, there is a Bass Pro Shop right in the area. It is a huge outdoors equipment store.

Kalamazoo,

Thanks for the helpful info.
It was exactly what I was looking for. I had checked out the Belz mall, and you are right it looks pretty spread out.
I just wasn't sure the difference between the malls and if I one was better than they other. . .
Premium outlet seems to have the stores that we are interested in.
Thanks again for your input. . .

Spiceycat,

We are staying at Cypress Pointe, near DTD.
I noticed that you also recommended Premium outlet. . . thank you.
The more I checked into malls, the more I kept finding. . .Florida mall, mall of millenia (?), etc., so I was curious as to how they all compared.
I think we will check out the Premium outlet though.

Sandra, We always hit the Belz mall. Lots of great stores but the best one is the character warehouse. It is a Disney outlet store where they sell items for about 2/3s off of their park prices. Great deals, same high quality, and you can bring "expensive" Disney souvenires back home for everyone!!! These items are typically on their way out or overstocks but I have purchased items there only to see them in the parks at full price.

Thanks Jeff,

We will be looking for Disney items. I was curious as to whether or not prices would be much cheaper off site. . . . sounds like there are some good deals to be had! Awesome!
Really appreciate your input. It is hard to try and organize where our time will be well spent from home.
We live in a small community in Northern Canada, with virtually no shopping available. . . so we are quite anxious to make the most of our shopping time.

Spiceycat,

I checked out the website briefly, and you are right there are a lot of options.
I will check into more extensively, thanks for the site!

Sandra, there maybe another location but this one is the biggest. The prices are great. I purchased a polo shirt for $15. Saw the same one at the park for $50. If you are into big dollar items you can save even more. I saw a leather jacket, regular $200, on sale for $70. The have all kinds of Disney items, you can by the music boxes for about a 1/3 of their retail price. Lots of kid items as well. They have lots of small items too. You'll also find a Universal and a Planet Holleywood (or was it Hard Rock?) outlet store as well.
