Shopaholic Goes Disney.... A Pre-Trip Report (Updated 12/26)

Nope, they are not new. DH actually bought them for me in Dallas, Tx when we were on a Marriage Retreat last spring.:)

Bella where did you get those black pants? I love them. Your dinners sound awesome. You are soooo way more organized than me. I still don't even have our ADR's done.:scared1:

WOW...a marriage retreat? How was that? I wonder if our church will do one??:goodvibes And btw, nice jeans!! After your excursion last week, I thought you found a new pair!!

The jeans are from Anthropologie. It's my favorite place.:goodvibes

The Marriage Retreat was wonderful! We mostly hung out with one of my best friends and her husband. It was nice to just have "adult" time. (They have 5 kids, so I'm sure it was extra nice for them.;) )

I LOVE the outfit! I went to Narcoosee's once and I was 10 years old! All I remember was that my mom and I had huge shrimp as an appetizer and my dad and sister tried crocodile! I hope that you enjoy your lobster.

Great update! The outfit is adorable...sounds like you're going to have a delicious dinner! :thumbsup2

99 days to go!

99 days and I’m nearly done with all of my shopping. What will I do until then?

So in my latest shopping adventures, I’ve been looking for a few pairs of jeans. (For my trip, of course.) Pre-marriage I was very into jeans of the $300 variety. Post-marriage, I’m lucky to get away with buying a pair of jeans from the American Eagle sales rack. DH is super-conservative in the clothes buying department and he can spot a pair of pricey jeans from a mile away. Darn! Needless to say, I am in need of a few good pairs of denim trousers.

A few lunch breaks ago, I found myself wandering into our local Hollister. A store that, just a few short years ago, I proudly worked at and fit into very well. Over the BLARING music I screamed to the snotty employee that I needed to try on a few pairs of jeans. I helped myself to a pair of flare leg and a pair of skinny jeans, headed to the dressing room and tried them on.

OH, MY WORD!!!!! :scared1: Those jeans are the epitome of low-rise. Take a look for yourself.

As I walked out of the dressing room, the snotty employee asked if everything worked okay. “They were just a little too low.” I told him. He looked at me as if I were from Jupiter.

Sorry, Mr. Hollister dude. I'm not so sure Mickey wants to see my butt crack. Thanks, though...... :confused3

My search continues……

My goodness... I'm not a low-low-low rise fan. I like my clothes to fit, and to reach each other. I have a long torso AND long legs, so its hard to come by clothes that actually fit. However, I visited my thrift store obsessed aunt over the summer and she gave me about 30 pairs of jeans and quite a few tops that are adorable...she collects clothes and sometimes I benefit from that. She even gave me a pair of 7 for All Mankinds, and I absolutely adore them. Growing up with 5 bros and sisters I appreciate a bargain, especially when it means free clothes.

I love Anthropologie too. Alas, I cannot afford it. Someday...

Your last night outfit is adorable.

And the winner of the moment is……..

:cheer2: Narcoossee’s:cheer2:

We’ve never dined at the Grand Floridian. DH has never even been inside. I LOVE lobster. DH is too cost-friendly to splurge on lobster. (When we eat at Red Lobster with his parents I have to order an appetizer as my entrée’.)

Good gravy…. I’m on vacation and I’m getting my lobster!!!:yay:

I chose Red Lobster for my birthday meal on Sunday. I looooove lobster so now I'm thinking about where I can fit in Narcoossee's :rotfl:

Oh I had alligator (I think) once. It honestly didn't taste like much since it was breaded and fried. It was a lot like clam strips or something. Cool to try though! I think it's alligator that they have in Florida, one of my professors said you can tell the difference because crocs will eat you but gators won't!! Unless you're a small child. :rotfl2:

Great outfit! Love, love the red shoes! :lovestruc

I am so enjoying your updates and shopping! You are so organized!

Don't worry much about your pennypincher DH. You'll both find a middle ground. My DH was a big penny pincher! Big time and he never bought the nicer things for himself. He would shop at Kohls 100% even for business! Now, he shops at Eddie Bauer for casual and an actual Mens dress shop! Gawd forbid! :rotfl:

Can't wait for more!

:yay: FOR NEW CLOTHES!!!!:yay:

Especially 'I'm going to Disney World!' clothes.

I love my Seven's. I have a few pairs for 5 years now. They are great jeans.

I've had alligator, too. It was actually pretty good. Nothing againt Red Lobster, but I'm thinking (hoping) the lobtser at Narcoossee's will blow it out of the water. (No pun intended.) :goodvibes

I'm not that organized. Trust me! Thanks for the advice on DH. I am noticing changes in him the longer we are married. He was a bachelor for 20 years before I came along.

After a year of marriage I finally one the debate that Redkin hair products are, in fact, better than Sauve. So now he lets me splurge on that.

:rotfl2: That is funny about Redkin and Suave because I remember having the exact same debate. I'm not even joking! Same debate and won!

Men!
