Does anyone have any suggestions for a comfortable yet NICE looking pair of shoes? I keep seeing all these shoes that look like they would be very comfy but I would look like the biggest dork wearing. I am looking for something that would still be somewhat fashionable but not cost $$$$. Thanks.

i just bought a pair of navy crocs today
my mom thinks they look weird...
but they are cofortable and all I hear about them from this board are good things..

I have two pairs of TEVA flip flops.... and they are GREAT (and look cute too) :Pinkbounc . I paid 20 dollars per pair. I wore them on a recent trip to Cuba, and they were soooo comfy. I think I could wear them all day at the parks.

I just got a pair of croc sandels that don't look to bad IMO i didn't like the looks of the shoes with the holes but the sandels look OK, i hope they are as comfy as everyone says they are... they are also coming out with flip flops but not sure when...

I heard Nike presto is great shoe, I t has cloth upper so it dries faster, and it not as heavy as most athletic shoes. Plus with Nike it won't fall apart after a couple times being wet. Every report about shoes in WDW raves about these shoes, I'm going up to the Nike outlet to look for some.

Shoes?????????? you mean you gotta wear shoes? I'm from Kentucky and we just ain't use to that! Oh well, thanks for your suggestions! ;) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ok, I know this sounds crazy but both my dd who was 6 and I wore flip flops the entire trip and never had sore feet! I have a great pair of Nike flip flops that feel awesome. You can get them at kohl's or major department stores. The are all black with a white nike swoosh. Kohl's had black one's with hot pink or lime green trim. I would recommend those if you are flip flop lover :teeth: Personally, I think flip flops are the greatest things ever :cool1:

I got some Teva flip flops too and I have to say I am addicted to them!!! I'm not sure if they will be good for all day park walking so I have my Teva Stratums too (very comfy but incredibly ugly!) I figured I will only wear them in Disney and nobody there knows me!!

For my feet, it's New Balance or nothing at all. I know that sneaks don't always look that nice, but it just so happens that the 925 in the dark brown has a sueded look and is soooo comfortable. Maggie

I guess I am too practical to worry about fashionable feet! I would love to wear some of my nicer looking shoes, but with my back, I have to wear good support aerobic type running shoes when I am on my feet all day and into the night! Not the best look, but the most comfortable!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am going to check into some of those. My feet appreciate the help.

I wore flip-flops that I bought at Target before I went, and i didnt get a single blister. Also, ballet flats are excellent, I thought if you go to a dressy dinner.

Merrell Sandals.

Those Merrell flops are cute. I don't think I have seen those before. Can you just get them at dept. stores?

If it was me, i would wear what i am comfortable in and not worry if folks thought i looked like a dork.

Sketchers tennis shoes. They run from $20 - $40. Comfortable and good for walking. I brought 2 pair last year and my feet were fiine.

If you are near the Run for Your Life stores in Charlotte, you should go by and have an associate help you find a great pair of shoes. They sell primarily athletic type shoes but have a variety of orthotics that can make your shoes more comfortable. The staff is trained very well.

I've also had success with the Easy Spirit line. There are a variety of styles from cute leather slip ons to clunky, comfy athletic shoes.

I gotta vote for comfort above style, but I have some orthopedic issues.

I could never wear sandals or flip flops to the parks. Don't you worry about someone stepping on your foot and ripping your toe nail off?

I got a pair of Crocs to wear, thinking that I'd look incredibly dorky, but be comfy.

I saw a lady wearing a pair of them the other day, and mentioned to her that I had the same shoes. I was floored when she told me that they were her teenage daughters, and they were apparently the "in" thing now! Who knew my dorky shoes would turn out trendy!?

I think I may check into the crocs as well. I guess I should have been a little bit more explanatory in my OP. I don't mind looking "dorky" at Disney but I hate the thought of spending a lot of money on shoes that I will not wear but a handful of times. In my normal life most of my shoes are very uncomfortable and unfortunately me feet suffer for that. I just didn't want to do that on vacation too however I didn't want to buy expensive shoes that I wouldn't wear again either. I do appreciate all the suggestions and I will be going this weekend to check some out. Thanks again.
