Shoes

After yesterdays' subject on Crocs and flip flops, I got to thinking...no, actually, it was an obsessive pondering about shoes. Are there any rides that require you not wear open-toed shoes? As I had mentioned in a post yesterday, I am addicted to wearing flip-flops and am seriously thinking about the Crocs.

I have seen TONS of people with Crocs on at DL.. I don't think that they have any restrictions on what type of shoe you wear.

We wore our Disney Crocs with Jibbitz at WDW recently and I swear 8 katrillion people asked us where we got them. I saw them in Downtown Disney but not a Jibbitz anywhere. I did find the Disney Jibbitz at the Orlando airport. After spending 10 days in Crocs at WDW I would definitely recommend. They dry very quickly when wet and we found them very comfortable. I did not find a single ride anywhere at WDW with shoe restrictions. I have never seen a ride at DL with shoe restrictions either.

I usually wear Birkenstocks and the only thing ever said about my shoes was when we did Soarin' and the cast member advised that I put them under the seat in the basket so I didn't lose them. So I wouldn't worry if I was you.

I wear flip flops to Disneyland almost every time I go, and I've never had a problem.

I wear Merrell flip flops...I love them!! I have never had any issues with them and my feet have never been soar...I just got a new pair for next weeks trip!

We JUST got back. The days I wore Crocs (lime green of course!) my feet were in heaven !!!!! The one day I wore sneakers (normally very comfy) I got blisters on my heels and had sore feet and toes. They sell the black and red Crocs in a few places (like Greetings) but they were $29.99. No jibbitz. No pink Disney Crocs just yet (they said "soon").

They were a fun in-line conversation starter. If I saw someone else with them I'd say "Hey, CUTE shoes! Are your feet comfy too?" CROCs owners are happy, nice people!!!!

I only removed them on Soarin' so I could dip my toes in the river, of COURSE!!!

I just bought pink Disney crocs for myself... red and yellow disney ones for my DDs. Has the weather been warm enough to wear them barefoot? Or are all of you wearing them with socks (I know a huge faux-pas)

I'm new to crocs and since it's been below freezing in Canada since I bought them, I've never actually worn them yet!

Speaking of shoes. It just kills me to see women wearing heals at DL. I'm talking serous heals or healed boots. I just don't get it. Their poor feet, why do women do that to themselves.

I second that!! I think my family wants to stage an "intervention" for my flip flop addiction!

Just a bit of advice - do take off flip flops for Soarin'. My daughter never laughed so hard on a ride as when a shoe fell off the person in front of us. We laughed about the "shoe lost on the snowy mountain" all day. Then again, keep flip flops on - it was entertaining to watch the poor woman's toes try to grab her shoe as it slipped off. We always need a good laugh. And yes, I'm sure we are often the cause of other people's laughter too.

Heeheee !!! Sounds like something that would happen to me. I can't wait to go. It's mine and my kids' first time. My DH thinks I'm going overboard on trying to gather as much info ahead of time.

It actually depends on what you prefer. I tend to go sockless, but at night I will wear socks with them. DH prefers socks all the time.

I TOTALLY agree with you. Everytime I see huge shoes I have to think it is not for comfort, but for the guy they are standing next to.

LOL! Those wouldn't work for snow in Canada... if they went up to your knee maybe

It looks like the temps are going to be quite warm next week -- middle of summer temps for us -- so I'm sure I'll get to wear them without socks
